Its working. Put it to one side to give it a good test this evening, got to remember not to stand it up as I am terrible for doing that with all my mods. Great news What did you do differently to get it going? Why won't you leave it upright - in case it fires?

Not sure what I did differently to be honest. Maybe just a little braver in loosening this and tightening that after watching one of the videos, still a bit hit an miss. But that is a learning curve with all mods.
Why won't you leave it upright - in case it fires? Yes

My nemmy is en-route from slowtech. I was planning on leaving it upright but with the switch locking-ring twisted down. I don't know if this is acceptable or not?

I have N45 magnets fitted and it can take any atty on top without firing but i still use the locking ring when not in use even though i know it won't fire Don't think the standard springs that come with it can handle a atty on top without firing so locking ring is a must.....trust me i know....picked it up once and it was like a hot rod

Lock ring always now.

The springs should prevent it firing even with the heaviest attie on top as does the N45 magnet switch modification ... The N35 magnets won't tho

I must be doing something wrong as sometimes it fires and sometimes it doesn't Sounds to me the connections are barely touching causing the sometimes it fires and sometimes it doesn't. Get the top part and take the connector screw right out, screw your atty in as far as it can go and replace the connector screw until it firmly touches the 510 of your atty and try.

It shouldn't be firing with the lock ring engaged - I store all my mods uprights - they usually have an atty attached and they don't agree with being stored sideways..,
Meh this is why I don't like mech mods I suppose
