My main worry would be security, for that kind of money people are prepared to do some awful things. I have a granddaughter now and another on the way. I'd be scared somebody would snatch them. I agree, much safer being poor!

Karma another thing that gets me though with people that win big is when they say things like "oh it's not going to change me". Well whats the point of bloody winning it I say. I'd have what all men have, a dream car garage full of my dream cars and I'd alternate them and drive all over daily making sure as many people as possible saw me. Yep 'd show off alright. damn right it would change me. People always ask aswell what would be the first thing you do. I always reply with a smile and a wink..... COUNT IT !

I do the lottery very occasionally, but never the Euromillions... the jackpot is far too high. I have only seen stories of lives ripped apart by unexpected fortune, there's been three in the last few months, from previously stable relationships. You could never keep it secret, otherwise what's the point of winning, and you could never, in a million years, appear to be fair to family, friends, acquaintances and the milkman. The guilt of giving to certain charities and not others... seeing starving kids on the TV etc. However, dinamic22... if you do bump into him, could you pass on this message I'm about to PM you with.

I think that's the problem people have. Trying to be fair. I wouldn't. I don't have any immediate family but I have a crap load of Auntys and uncles and cousins etc. I don't like half of them. I wouldn't like half of them if I won 107mil. And wouldn't give the half I don't like a penny. But then I'm antisocial and couldn't really care less lol. Wouldn't feel an ounce of guilt. The family I do like, and my friends. Would never want for anything again. Everyone else could sod off. That said. All I want in life is a massive field for my dogs to play on without being harassed, (they're staffs, you can barely walk them without disparaging looks from idiots). I'm easily pleased lol. I'd treat myself to an aspire nautilus too lol. See how expensive my tastes are lol.

Oh well, just screw up that 'begging' PM I sent you dinamic22 and whoever it is... 'God help them' ... and be very careful what you wish for, it doesn't always bring happiness.

I forgot to buy a ticket I usually wait for the jackpot to get to 100m and get a few for each draw until someone wins. What I really don't understand is people going public about their big wins. If Camelot give you the option to remain anonymous, surely it is the way forward? What good could come of telling the world that you now have £100m to your name? Say hello to all of the long lost friends/relatives and strangers on the scrounge and, as mentioned, the sort of people who might prefer extortion or blackmail to good old fashioned begging. I remember a story from a few years ago about a guy who had always dreamt of running a music shop but didn't have the money to do so until a big lottery win. A lottery win he went public about and the poor guy had to shut his shop pretty quickly as it was always full of people on the scrounge rather than those wanting to buy instruments. Even if you got a much larger prize for going public or forfeited half of your money by refusing to, I'd still make sure that only my closest friends and family knew.

Just watched the interview with the winners. They seem a lovely couple and let's hope they stay that way. Loved the bit where they said they had already received 'looks' from salespeople when looking at expensive items, who judged them as not being able to afford them, so they walked out. Bet they're kicking themselves now on their lost commissions.
