Newbie.. Does this sounds like a good idea?

I don't think there are any e-cigs which are the same size as a regular cigarette.

e-cigs are a lot heavier aswell, so takes a bit of getting used to.

youtube tutorials are good. I recommend Scott (igetcha69). His vids are really informative & very easy to follow. He covers pretty much every aspect of vaping as well.

A must to remember: keep the atties or cartos wet. If you let them get dry, you won't have a nice vaping experience.

As for manual or auto batteries, I, personally would recommend manual ones. That way you have control.

Also, there are a number of good suppliers, so check out the suppliers list.

if you would read the post you will see that JMC pretty much had an idea of what he wanted which Jason sells ...it was very nice of Jason to help so much and the thread has pretty much consisted of disscusion between the two of them

headhunter you gave your advice to JMC ...i read the thread and figured jmc was getting good helpful advice and assistance therefore didnt feel i needed to muddy the water by throwing in my 2 pence worth.... yes there are smaller e-cigs but i figured whats an inch between friends

Welcome, and congratz on taking the plunge. From what you say about yer smokin habits I think you'll find your choice of kit will do the job quite nicely.

Dude, chill out a bit. The peeps here are a damn sound crowd. For what it's worth, I started out on a cig-a-like (SKYCig), but it only took me about 4 weeks to suss that they're dang expensive for what they are (both in initial purchase and running costs). IMHO, An Echo/Ego/Riva/Tornado is bang on for anyone who smoked upwards of 10 tabs a day, and I congratulate jmc160 on doing the research that I didn't do initially

I don't have vast experience of vaping suppliers (just Cloud9vaping where I got my Riva, and VapeEscape where I got some juice and Cartos), but both are excellent suppliers, and both give excellent service with a personal touch. Just wish every retailer was that good!

Headhunter, I can guarantee you that nobody involved with running this forum get's any commission or kick back whatsoever from any of the suppliers who post on it.

Most of the people who have replied to jmc started with one of the ciggie likes that you are recommending, so why is it that you think they are not recommending them to jmc?

It's because of their own experience and because of seeing many people come to the forum asking what they can buy that is an improvement on the ciggie like that they have bought.

As a vendor, I can tell you for fact that the majority of customers who buy a ciggie like from me come back within a few weeks and ask if I have anything better, with batteries that last longer.

I have even part exchanged units sometimes to allow them to swap to the Riva/Ego/Echo variants.

We all have an opinion and we are all entitled to it.

I can back mine up with facts and that is the basis I use when recommending the products to a customer.
