I'm curious to try 6V vaping, and have decided to buy a variable voltage PV. I think that the PureSmoker Prodigy V3.1 seems particularly attractive. It seems small for a PV on which 6V is possible (I haven't found any specifications for the Silver Bullet to compare with though), and it's gotten good reviews.
There is one thing that that confuses me: It seems like I have to change batteries in the Prodigy to switch between voltages. If so, is that the case with every variable voltage PV?
Is there any other good, relatively small, variable voltage devices out there available from a retailer in Europe?

Hi Ebal I'm not familiar with the Prodigy so can't advise you there. Unless you go to the realms of the Provari or Darwin, it's not unusual to have to swap batteries over for 6V. If 5V would be acceptable, then you open up a lot more options, including the Megladon and several cheaper 'box mods' (which are ideal for trying VV at around the £40 mark or less).  |

Hi Ebal, the Prodigy V3 isn't what is classed as a variable voltage PV. Cloud9 list it as a dual voltage, but as Jason says, like many of the larger mods, it just means you get the different voltage by using different batteries. I.e. for 3.7v vaping, you use one 3.7v battery, for 6v vaping you use two 3.0v batteries. I've tried 6v vaping via the 2x3v batteries, & to be honest IMHO it's just not worth the risk. When stacking batteries, you have to be very careful to pair them etc. In fact, I far prefer using a 3.7v battery in a mod with an LR atomiser or cartomiser - giving pretty close to a 5v vape |

Thanks the both of you. After some research I decided to order a Provari. Not having to swap batteries, and the ability to set the voltage in 0,1 increments sounds like a dream come true.

Next mod then Nats.  Wise decision I think Ebal . . . the Provari will actually save you money in the long run, as just about everything performs well on it, with the Variable Voltage option. |

Nice one Ebal there are so many good reviews about the Provari Got to admit I'm still more than happy with my GG's - but maybe one day I will be tempted to buy a Provari |

i doubt you will like 6V,its just too much and IMHO spoils the vaping experience
3.7V 4.2V and 5V is all you will need.
have a look at deejays trio box mod,takes 2 x 14500 batteries and will maintain whatever voltage you set it at.i purchased 1, 2 weeks ago and its all i have used,i cant praise it enough
i vape at 5v and get about 12hrs at 5v £35.00 its a steal

Yes, the Trio Box no doubt seems interesting.
I decided to go for the Provari for a number of reasons though:
The 0,1 increments are unbeatable.
It goes up to 6 volts. It might be over the top, but some vapers seem to enjoy it immensely, so I still like to try it.
The multi functional display.
It looks fantastic.
For some reason, I'm not that into box shaped PVs.
