Mains charger

Received my MVP today from myepack, order not quite right order received but am hoping they put that right.

My question is I've got a USB adapter from previous vaping, its an AC100-240V is that safe to charge my MVP?

shez did you mean to use your MVP charging lead with a usb (mains) wall plug that you previously had? this is how i charge mine as the MVP kit does not include a usb (mains) wall plug.

Thats your 1st milestone over shez keep it up it gets better & those fags begin to smell awful really chemically, i never ever thought i would be one of those ex smokers who would say that they smell awful as i loved the smell of a newly lit fag but i would not thank anyone for one now.

Just a note on wall chargers (any chargers) - worth checking the Amp rating.

There are some chargers out there which will just deliver 0.45 Amps (USB2 rated to draw a max 0.5Amps and most desktop and laptops with USB 2 will safely deliver is 0.45 Amps before something blows on the motherboard - not how it should be but...). Assume that a well made ecig will draw 450 mA or less when charging.

For what it's worth, USB 3 will draw 0.9 Amps and USB 3.1 will draw (different versions) 2 Amps or 5 Amps

Always ensure that your wall socket will deliver more than what's being drawn when charging.

Now here's the rub. USB 1 is specified at 0.15 Amps. So if you try and charge something pulling power from a USB wall charger which you once bought for an old mobile that's rated at, say, 0.2mAh, then bad things will happen.

We all know not to buy knock off batteries from a fly by night market stall (not the ones that have been there for an age). Folks tend not to think about chargers though.

Genuine Sammy chargers for things like a Galaxy Note or S4 are pretty cheap if you go hunting - worth getting a couple.

Haven't charged it yet as still going since Thursday.

 Eek - rereading my last post and oh my - doesn't that look oh so passive aggressive.... No intent but I know subconsciously that kind of thing leaves a wee mark which I hopefully scrub by shining a harsh cleansing light.
