Right guy and girls there's Big Trouble In Little DID
Ok where to start I have a DID clone and all was well and fin until yesterday night. I bought a new tank for the DID as the old tank was cracking. I used up all the juice in the tank and it tasted so good right till the lat hit i then stripped the DID down buy remove the 3 nuts and then just lifting the top off along with the mesh wick and coil all in one.
fitted the new tank and put it all back and guess what its just burning the juice and setting on fire I have taken the old coil of and rebuilt it and sill its burns. The wick is wicking fine witch is p#ssing me off as a full tank of juice is just about gone at 3v its getting crazy hot all most like there's a short but can't see how little gutted as when its running its so good but when its bad its just 110% bad lol.
so anyone got any idea what it could be ? I have used Silica wick but it don't wick any good dont know if that's because its 3mm but yea im stuck Help lol

What resistance is your coil?
Are you using the same wre you did in your previous builds?
Aryou getting hot spots?
Have you got rid of your hot spots?

The best way to sort out your coil is dry, it's working perfectly when The coil glows from the centre out to the ends.

Thanks for the input guys i think I got it sort after lots of messing around. Touch wood lol I'm just letting the wick suck up.
Pro to silica with my DID clone It wicks easy It don't short out
Cons to Silica I only realy found one Silica did not wick up the E juice fast enough
I think the problem with this RBA and maybe others Is the mesh I can't work out how it turned to sh"t but I think thats where all my problems come from.
So I have made a modified wick can't say I seen anyone doing this but maybe some one has or maybe there's a reason know body has lol.
So I'm going to list what I have done in a 123 type guide
Parts 1) 2mm silica 2) steal mesh
Now 1) I soaked some 2mm silica in some E liquid 2) cut out a tiny amount of mesh 3) oxidised the mesh 4) Take the soaked 2mm silica and pull away 3 strands and lay to one side 5) Take oxidised mesh lay flat 6) Place silical strands on top of mesh 7) Now roll the mesh with the silica in side it 8) leave about 3mm of silica out the one end 9) wrap the mesh tight around the silica 10) wet the mesh and roll on some cotton wool just like candy floss 11) place the silica end in to the tank 12) builed your coil around the cotton
And that's it I'm not the best when it comes to explanations lol but I try
Now with the silica wick hanging out the bottom there's no need to worry about it shorting out from there and it keeps the mesh wick wet as it will suck up each and every last drop of your liquid

You should see all the ones that didn't work lol
I got that idea watching rip trippers on youtube, also did it using the silica too, just wrapped a little cotton on the top, for some reason it just tastes better to me.

Are you tipping it? They work best if you tip them to help get the juice up I find.

I had one of those for a while and once I got it working properly it was a really good atomiser. What I found was it had to be tilted to fully soak the mesh while using it. It sounds to me like your wick isn't keeping up with your vaping so try tilting it more to feed the wick and coils more. If that's not the problem it might be a small hotspot, I used to find they stuck right at the top or bottom. Use a small screwdriver or cocktail stick and press softly against your coils while firing it and it should work out ok.

It's a crap atty..Ditch it.
It's too tall to get a consistent wicking going even with #500 mesh.
