Its only 1st class stamp and large letter stamps that are going up and should not increase LT's already expensive postage cost as LT charge for Packet postage and not letter, there is no Royal mail increase for Packet/parcel, i shall not be shopping there anymore if they increase from what they have now.

That's not correct Richo. Business Accounts have new size banding, introducing a small and medium sized packet and the prices at some weights has increased considerably.

Job cuts, price increases.... oooh, is it a sell-off? Next they'll stop delivering to old people down long paths. Then remote villages. It's called cherry-picking.... and no, that's not a flavour of e-liquid.

They already seem to have abolished red cards, judging by the number of customers whose parcels are sat at sorting offices without them knowing. Surely it's not just because they can't be arsed

The last couple of years the prices just seem to be going up and up and the service down and down. And don't even get me started on the Gestapo style questioning when you try and post a parcel/package at the Post Office. Posted two packages today and after they'd stuck all their labels on them there was hardly any space left on the wrapping

I believe that. In this area, collecting your (undeliverable) parcels in person has gone from 6 hours to 24 hours. Money/time/worker saving? You bet.

I stand corrected then, thought it was only 1st and second class stamps going up. it's funny how we can get stuff from china posted free and we get charged a small fortune in our own country, i have started purchasing from ebay UK and facebook sellers as prices are way cheaper and postage is free most of the time, (no overheads)

I used to live right opposite a post box on the end of a street. The postman would do his round then he would return to that postbox, open it up and put small parcels from his bag into it. These would then be collected by the van that came round that evening. If we got a card we had to wait 24 hours and if you tried to get it early they would tell you it wasn't there, this was why it was back in the postbox.
