I can't work a trident V2 RDA

Lol it's true, I just can't get a nice vape out of this thing no matter what I do, it's either to hot or choking, I have managed to get some clouds but it still tasted rank.

Are drippers just a hot vape?

Or am I a plonker?

It's got to be one of them lol

I don't have a trident, but I'd imagine your issues are dripping related, rather than directly related to that specific atty.

What are you using as wick?
What wattage are you vaping at?

If it's too hot, try using a longer drip tip.

If you're using a dual coil, try switching to a single coil build - it's usually enough for me.

When a wick is saturated, the flavour is intense but the clouds are reduced. As the wick drys, the clouds increase and the flavour and harshness drops off. Don't keep adding juice until the wick is drying up - this is quite subjective, and will depend on how you vape, and what you are using for a wick.

Excellent point - you need to get air to the coil, so the air hole should be directly next to the coil.

Yeh I'm doing that, lining it up, small holes, big holes, trying single and dual coils, micro and other, cotton or silica but nope, still tastes awful lol

Just using the standard tip that came with it.

Curious, I got bored with trident v2, good for clouds but flavour bit muted, not awful, just muted.

If you really low ohm and the coils are too close to drip tip then it will spit up the drip tip.

What are you using for wick? I always used wool and 2.5diameter drill bit usually.

Youve mastered genesis atties but you cant do a simple dripper lol, follow riptrippers builds and you just cant go wrong! Chris had trouble coiling, so I showed him at the bar 9 wraps of .32 around 2mm drill bit should give you about 1.3-4 ohms wick it lightly with cottonwool, dont jam it in! This is where most people go wrong, the cotton must be able to move as it will swell when saturated with juice restricting the flow. Stick it on your svd and tell me you cant coil lol

Your point about heat, yeah some drippers seem to produce warmer vape for sane ohms....I've forgotten what trident does....mines buried in my others tin.
Buggered the screws, been meaning to swap base with fasttech v1 plastic version I bought as seems a straight swap.
