the ongoing discussion, that vaping might inspire people - specially youngster to vape, even if they have not smoked before gave me the idea for this thread.

I believe that nearly every vaper has been or still is a smoker - for example even my husband who quit more than 15 years ago and now enjoys a 0 nicotine vape, was a smoker, who enjoyed smoking.

I hope a lot of you answer this poll - so that we can show figures - that vaping is not a start for an addiction but an enourmous help to quit one or at least reduce the tobacco consumption and is therefore saving millions of lives and millions of whatever currency to which ever health system

Since vaping I am down to about 4 ciggies a day from a 20 year 20 a day habit. Just need to let go off the last few but not putting any pressure on myself as my kit grows in quality, the less I smoke!

When i started vaping i had been smoking between 12 & 15 fags daily i had tried with a cigalike initially but still wanted 4 fags daily, since getting the Riva batteries after advice on this forum i stopped completely on May 19th last year i have had an odd fag here & there (no more than 5 in the last 10 months) & really prefer vaping now even though it all seems too much faffing about at times.

I was a at least 20 a day smoker tried all the NHS quit things including champex none worked for more than a couple of months of struggling. Since finding vaping I haven't touched a single cigarette in spite of some quite traumatic times. I had smoked for more than 50 years and had resigned myself to being a smoker for life.

I was a light smoker about 100 to 150g of golden vergina a week got a cheapo ecig for work then after looking on here a itaste vv3 and have dropped to about 5 erm er cigs a day but prob less than one roll up a day
Did not start vapeing to give up smoking but has almost ended up that way and less fag ash in the car

I had smoked for nearly 40 years I was a 40 regal a day smoker started vaping and stopped smoking within 2 weeks

I was smoking 15/20 a day and it was my son talked me into vaping. I cut the cigarettes out straight away and now I'm coming up to my one year anniversary and not touched or craved a cigarette since. I know some people may not be as lucky as I was but count the ones you don't have and don't beat yourself up over the occasional cigarette,

Smoker for 40 years, around 20-30 a day. The day my first e-cig kit arrived in the post was the day I gave up smoking altogether. Never looked back. Don't intend to light up another analogue cigarette ever

30 years for me, was up to 30 roll-ups a day. First e-cig got delivered, straight cut-over and never touched tobacco again, and that was 18 months ago

I have smoked for 20 odd years, still duel fueling, but once my MVP comes I intend on cutting out the stinkies and giving this a real bash....now I have some good flavours sorted out that is
I know many people have done this with a basic Ego but using my hubbies Vamo 5 has certainly shown me the difference in a quality set up ...pity he has to go to work and take it with him Cos I could use that all day long and never want/need a stinkie lol

I was a light smoker for about 20 years before I started vaping. Now I smoke no more than once a month. That's as good as giving up smoking as far as I am concerned!
