This is really annoying me!

Why, when you have tried really hard to give up smoking cigarettes by turning to vaping, and have now achieved 2 weeks without a ciggie, do people ask you " when are you going to give up vaping?" And they also say, "be nice when you can give up vaping too won't it?"

I'm sorry, but it's making me so cross, when for the first time in 35 years, I've actually managed to give up the fags!  That in itself, to me, is something to be proud of. Funny thing is, I actually like to vape, it makes me happy, and I'm not hurting anybody by doing it, am I?

Sorry, rant over. Time to  Vape and chill.......

Sounds like you've met my mother. Her go to line is 'ooh eating/shopping/whatever I'm doing immediately before I Vape, is so stressful you need your e-cig'.

I feel like telling her to f**k off and just be glad I don't smoke anymore! Grrrr to judgemental people!

Yep, they are tiresome & very annoying, but don't let them get to you. We have found a healthier & an aromatastic way of keeping our habit, nothing for anybody to complain at us about. So, be proud of your achievement, enjoy it, put your middle finger up & tell them to go swivel!

I bet these are the same people who said you should quit smoking as well......................Just some folks don't like to think you have the ability to take charge of your own destiny and health.

Treat them like bad weather.....ignore them and sooner or later they will go away.

Thanks everyone, at least you all understand! I tend not to answer anyone who asks me when I'm giving up the vaping, in case I say something I could be arrested for!

Also whilst on a moaning streak, why do some people, (who obviously don't know tiddly squat about vaping), stare at me when I'm outside enjoying a good vape (usually watermelon), as if I'm obviously doing drugs, and their expression is like someone who has just stepped in a big pile of dog poo in their best sandals?

If it's a smoker saying that to me, I just give them the look that says 'I'm so sorry for you!'

Anyone else, I say 'would you give up chocolate cake, because vaping gives me the same pleasure and is probably less harmful.'

juliet42 - follow up to Raffles suggestion - ask them if the would give up coffee & tea as they are also both addictive & contain stimulants

BTW, I'm actually puzzled that I never get anyone staring at me or asking questions - especially as I use a Vamo. In fact I go out of my way to vape it as much as possible in busy places & no one ever seems to bat an eyelid

Chrissie, I stood outside of the front doors of Kingsley Village a couple of days ago, waiting for OH to take a call of nature, so I fired up my Ecig, and took a good vape, and the lady stood just inside the door looked at me as if I was the grim reaper himself!

I was in Truro today for a couple of hours, and didn't see anybody else using an Ecig, I was very surprised!  Got some funny looks there too! By the way, I found an Ecig shop in the Pannier Market, had to try some juice, would have been rude not to!

I'm definitely going to use that one... well, they wouldn't hit a pensioner... would they ???
