Only 10 (ish) days into this new vaping thang & thoroughly enjoying it so far, thanks a lot to do with you people here Right then - current situation is this: I have 4 evods, 4 spare evod clearomizers, 2 protank glass tanks, loads of spare single coils, a dozen or so different flavours (I did a list of flavours on another thread somewhere). I quite often have all 4 evods lined up on my desk & go through them one by one each 'vape' from 'King of Cigar' > 'Cinnamon' > 'Mint' > 'RY4' or just randomly, sometimes vaping one flavour just to use it up to change for a different one. Now, that obviously means that I have several flavours sat in their bottles doing nothing for a while, so should I 1) get some more evods (2 or 4) so I can stick flavours in ALL of them & choose what I feel like? (putting the aniseed & chilli in glass protanks) or 2) settle down with my 2 or 3 favourites & but get a Mod (like the itaste VTR or Innokin Cool Fire 2) with one or two spare tanks? If the suggestion is 2), I am quite 'taken' with the iTaste VTR or Innokin Cool Fire 2, but they will be an 'after payday' addition, maybe. Anyone got any other suggestions as to what are really good (and primarily reliable) mods/ecigs/whatever they're called. Bear in mind I probably can't afford the Provari / Semovar yet, so just need ideas/pics of what to move onto next. I don't really want one of those huge great 12" long metal tubes with 6000 modifications on it. And, of course, a huge to all of your for your helpful advice. Be gentle as it is still early days in my vaping career & sorry for the long rambling thread.

Something like a Spinner 1300mah would be a useful step up CaptainChaos, and if you do decide to go down the mechanical mod route later on, will serve as a good backup or discreet battery for such occasions. It has the advantage of VV (Variable Voltage), so you can adjust the power output according to the vape you want. Cranking it up will give you more Throat Hit and flavour with some juices, or you can knock it back when you want something less aggressive. Should be able to get one well under £20 too, and it will fit your eGo charger too, although an extra one as a backup wouldn't be a bad idea

I would go for option 2 - I love my vtr - but it's big as well and I use it as my at-home-mod - a bit less heavy and therefore also great for out an about is the mvp and even cheaper and fantastic is the itaste vv - we have settled down with the protanks and airflow control - they are glass - so it does not matter which juice you use and easy to clean

I resisted the mvp for ages because of it's shape. Wish I hadn't, it's a great thing to have and what I use 90% of the time.
I have a SID as well, this is streamlined and light compared to many of it's counterparts. It is a great thing, but I don't love it as much as I think I should. The one button to rule them all thing just doesn't work for me somehow, even though once you get used to it, it's easy to understand. It is great to have something with separate batteries you can swap out and charge separately.
I have some spinners, they are great things but I get fed up of charging them. The screw in type charge is a faff, once you try other options.
I have a v1 itaste vv. Its a cute thing and has a lot going for it, but the battery life isn't good enough for me.

10 days in my advice would be to hold off buying new mods for a while (Says me who was buying an SVD and a mechanical mod after my first weeks vaping)
More than likely your tastes in juices is going to change and if you are enjoying the vape from your current set up then changing gear will confuse things. (After four weeks of new juices, new tanks and new mods I couldn't tell you what the best set up was because there were so many variables)
However, I know what the desire to spend is like. So what about getting a dripping atomizer so you can switch through flavours easily without the need to fill a tank.

Thank you so far - I don't want anything that I need an A-level in technology for - I just looked up the Innokin MVP variable everything & I just KNOW I'd get confused as to what display is showing ohms watts voltage time etc.

VTR - go for the VTR - I am absolutely in looooooove with mine. If you don't mind waiting for the postman to bring it you can get it from Fasttech at a little over £42 The grey one on FT is actually the clear one which is a fingerprint magnet, which is the one I bought but got myself a wrap for it as I was forever polishing the flippin thing. You can get a wrap for it from hereThe iclear 30s that comes with it vapes like a train, I've now got 5 of them on the go, bought various different colours, also from FT for less than £6 a piece. The coils last for absolutely aaaaages. I wouldn't be without mine now Flippin heck, when I first started typing this out there were no replies but after searching for the jwrap link it took longer than I expected so now everybody else got in before me

It doesn't really matter so long as you can adjust the power. They really are good bits of kit and come complete with clearo and charger, well worth the money in my opinion myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-mvp-v2-0-metal-grain.html

Both the MVP and the VTR have a three digit display to show the Ohms meter, volts/watts and the voltage output, so the VTR won't be any easier to use. But you'll be fine with either mod, although you will need to invest in a charger and some batteries if you buy the VTR.

CaptainChaos if you decide to get a VTR, and most MODs, you will also need to buy Batteries to Power it, and a Charger to Suit. IF you decide to go down the Route of External Batteries PLEASE PLEASE do some reading on here, other Forums are available, and make sure you buy GENUINE Batteries, and get yourself a Multi Meter (under a tenner). Sticking to Glass/Pyrex for Juices you are not certain about being Tank Crackers is a good start to your research. If you have decided what style Tank/Clearomiser suits you then I'd , personally, keep each juice (or type of Flavour) in it's own Tank. I use iClear 30 and 30s and use 3 or 4 so I just pick up whichever Flavour I fancy Vaping. Keep a few spare heads (one of the advantages of sticking to the same Type of Tank) so you can keep that Fresh feel going. You can Wash and Dry Burn existing Heads a few times, but the performance does drop after 2 or 3 Cycles.

keepitgoin - aren't the iclear 30 / 30s / 30b polycarbonate?
If I'm going to go for the "tank killer" flavours, I'd rather go down the pyrex/glass route for guaranteed non-melty situations lol
(addition) I just went on ebay & saw packs of glass clearomizers for sale - is ebay worth the risk?
