I thought along with giving up smoking I would treat myself to a gym membership. I have been going to the gym and not really pushing myself then going for jacuzzi and swim. Loving it but not exactly hard work. my mates been on at me for ages to join in with classes so I gave in and went to metafit and absolutions lastnight. I completed the abs class but metafit oh dear. I lasted 5 - 10 mins. My chest hurt, I felt sick. I'm so disappointed that I let myself get in such bad shape. This morning I feel as if I've been run over by a truck. No way I can do body combat tonight when I can't even walk hahaha, Can I ?

one step at a time,just because we give up vaping we think yes fitter than a kwick fit fitter lol uhmmm no we all got lazy compared to what we did when younger, so basic, slowly , slowly and achy achy lol

Well at least you are trying to do something about it now rednut, so don't beat yourself up about it...baby steps, in 6 months time you will back to your perfect 10 and fit as a fiddle.

I think I was 18 or 19 the last time I was a size 10 lol. I'll just be happy toning up the baby belly and and be able to run the length of myself. Was kinda hoping for the washboard stomach in 3 weeks so I can strut about the pool without holding it in hahaha

Have you tried taking omega 3 supplements before exercise? Studies show that it can help with post exercise muscle pain. Well done for even going to the gym, my bidey in is a bit of an exercise junkie, I don't even run for a bus.

My legs still feel like they have been punched at times after month and half of riding to work! My own fault, I treat it as a race every day....6 month ago I would get out of breath walking briskly uphill Still got my time down from 45minutes to 15-25minutes depending on how hard I push it..... mainly through not getting off the bike and pushing it up the hills anymore...well still do that sometimes

lal I can vouch for the benefits of Omega3 fish oils. I have taken these every day for the past 5 yrs ,previously just fish oil for about 20yrs. It has not however stopped the Arthritis I have in my hands, but the rest of me is very supple, no creaking bones , can do same set of exercises now that I did when I was a teenager, apart from 'push up' I get a blood rush to my head, so can't do them anymore. Evening Primrose oil has also been part of my daily intake for years.
