Very nicely put mate, I'm thinking some folks will hesitate to join if they are only just starting out.

To them I say it does'nt matter if your brand new, still thinking about it or have been vaping for a period of time. All are welcome on this forum, no one will be judgemental and all questions are treated as serious.

If I'm honest, I'm a habitual lurker on other forums but felt I needed to ask questions about vaping as I didn't really understand any of it when I first started. So I took the plunge, joined up and I've been here ever since, and I've learnt so much.

What I love about this forum is that you can ask a question, and you'll always get a helpful response. None of this "just google it", or "use the search function, I'm sick of answering that question" or anything. It's what drew me in and has kept me coming back.

So true Raff. It is much more than vaping. I have found new friends and been helped by people I haven't even met in real life. From striker42 giving me a Kayfun clear tank and refusing to even accept the postage cost. fiddles giving me a wheelchair ramp last year, which also ended up helping at VF. And recently, seniorphil offering to help me move home and also stood up to Boris on LBC radio on my behalf! There are more but I'd be typing all afternoon.
beautycat becoming my coffee and chat friend and then there's Julie! What can I say? A bundle of fun and a great meet up partner.
Until I started typing this post, I didn't realise just how much the people on here had become part of my life.

can't agree more to what is said already - great thread Raffles - this is the friendliest and best forum I have ever joined - don't be shy guys - join in - the stronger a united vaping community is the better

Well said Raffles - I have now ditched all other vaping fora, as I know that here at AAEC
a) I'm treated with courtesy and respect
b) I can ask the most dumbass questions and get a truthful and quick reply
c) I have made many many virtual friends and even a couple real ones!
d) I have learnt so much by being a part of this forum, from the difference between an 18 and 14 gauge needle to the intricacies of recoiling a Kayfun
e) lastly, I feel part of a community and that is more important than all the other reasons.

So if you are a prospective new member, go on and register, you'll be warmly welcomed and you will enjoy the chat, humour and knowledge which is so freely shared and offered.

Totally agree with everything that has been said her. I joined before I even bought any vaping gear, thank god I did or I may well have ended up with a cig-a-like and never got into vaping.

So many friendly people and so many opportunities to meet and make new friends.

Well said Raffles I was a lurker once! I got into a bit of a pickle when I started vaping, spent too much money on rubbish and knew I needed some help. This wasn't the first forum I found so I was a bit reluctant to sign up after reading some of the derogatory comments on the others but I soon realised that this was different. This is a great place to spend some time.

loobiebloo... I actually regretted using the term 'lurker' as it has negative connotations. But from the replies to this thread, hopefully, it will give our 'guests' the confidence to dip their toe in the water, knowing they have nothing to fear.

And first off may i personally thank Raffles for changeing the face of this forum as we know it (no pun intended)
It was a great forum before. and now it has become a family affair, and it is great to see a face behind all the post's.
im fairly new on here, but not new to vapeing, 4 years come september.
And like a few on here spend a crazy amount of money on vapeing. but it has become a hobby for me
and maybe sometime's im trying too hard to fit in with me silly laural & hardy and welcome banners that take up half of page.
But the truth is guys? you don't have to try at all with this site.
You are all welcome, and thats all their is to it.
