Treat it the same as you would any other poison and you'll be fine. You wouldn't leave rat poison, bleach or caustic soda on the side in the kitchen so don't leave nicotine liquid there either!

The thing that annoys me is these figures are never put into context. Article says last year

and of these, 10% developed symptoms which needed hospital care

thats 13.9 or lets say 14 people out of the estimated 1.3 million users , thats one in nearly 93000 users

Poisoning is a common health problem, resulting in around 120,000 hospital admissions each year in England

England alone! yet in the whole of the UK 14 people needed hospital treatment

When put into context E-liquid has probably better safety record than cleaning products etc

Unfortunately a lot of people are buying from local market stalls , where the majority of stall owners want to earn a fast buck ....

BEFORE anyone berates me I am well aware that there are a lot of very genuine and good market stall holders ...

but in a lot of cases the stall holder hasn't got a bloody clue what he is selling ... I know from experience because I challenge them ...

There needs to be some form of regulation to stop these idiots selling cheap crap without being able to give the customer a reasonable amount of information regards Nic being dangerous

Maybe like a license to sell alcohol, you need a license to sell e-liquid? Do a one day course, get a certificate that says you know the basics about e-liquid safety and proper labelling etc?

Even that would be a start ... I handle refrigerants ( aka poisons , ozone depleting materials , whatever you want to call them ) and have to hold certification to allow me to do so ..................
