Hi all, I think the vaping fairy did mysteriously send me some vape mail today, WOO HOO!! I delved deep and found a new Cool Fire 1 bundle and a new Protank II (amongst other things) in the envelope but I fear a nasty vape monster might of got his grubby paws on it all and made it dirty. My question is: What kinds of ways do you clean your brand new factory sealed gear when you first receive it? I bought a mini Protank II kit last week and didn't really clean it as such, but just wiped it over with a cloth and was getting a horrible metal taste in my mouth when I vaped which I believe was from the chrome drip tip it came with, so I changed to a Delrin tip and the metal taste went away luckily. Lesson learnt! I will now wash all my clearos, drip tips etc from now on but I don't have any proper cleaning gear yet and only have good old soap and water at hand for now. Would just scrubbing be enough for factory sealed stuff or would you advise on other methods? Regards.

I do warm water and a bit of washing up liquid, give them a good rinse then overnight bicarb bath. I dry them on the kitchen window ledge.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards

Sent from my Nexus 7 using proboards Thanks, seems like the easiest method for me right now and with the easter holiday coming up it'll give me some time to sort some stuff out. Seems like the kitchen window ledge is a favourite spot for you guys!

It's normally to be found in the Bakery aisles of most large supermarkets cHooBeyDoo and has the advantage of being flavourless over the denture cleaning tablets. www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=263027641

Hi Perpetua ,thanks, I went to Tesco earlier, really handy we have a big supermarket that is 5 mins walk from my house and bought both the Bicarb and Steradent. Gonna give both a try. How much Bicarb will I need to add, let's say, 1 litre of water? I presume that I won't need alot.
