Why would you reskin batteries (I've not heard of people doing that before)

tomj777 They get damaged with use in mods, i have also used the shrinkwrap to extend the insulation at the bottom of 18350/18650`s that i use in my Chi-you to stop shorting at the base.

Ah - I see.
I had it in mind that any damage and I should dispose (nicely) of the battery... Not that I have done that yet (although there was an AW battery that I put in a mod upside down, screwed it up and put it on a side until I thought a minute later that I might have done something silly (I had, it was very very very hot indeed... battery taped up and recycled...)
Must watch out for tearing the insulation.

I have used this on several batteries that had damaged insulation over the top of the existing, it takes a bit of practice to get the length right as it obviously shrinks a bit. Well worth it as the sleeves are so easily damages by battery holders, charges and mods. If you get stuff form FT I recommend getting some in-case as its so cheap and takes 3 weeks or so to get here, also good for getting your order above $20 for free recorded shipping.
