Ok so I'm playing with my new 306 dripping atty and I've got a juice on it that tastes lovely but the throat hit is soooo strong I can't handle it at all. I want to get the juice off without vaping any more of it. I've run it under the tap and been pulsing the coil for ages but it's still giving off loads of vapour. What should I do?

Give it a wash under warm water running from the tap then give it a shake and then blow through (either end). You should now be good to go, are you sure it's not just steam coming off the water? You should not dry burn it as you may pop the coil. Some flavours are very hard to get rid of.

Thanks DiscoDes I don't think I've done any damage with my dry burning - that was me getting confused with how you clean other things I'm not sure it wasn't water, no! I am sure of very little when it comes to this vaping malarkey! lol The flavour was a fruit mix - I tried some other fruity flavours once I'd sussed out the blowing through the thing to get the water/juice out. All seemed really intense! Almost like eating it - I can still taste it now. I got juice everywhere. Couldn't get the juice from the little sample bottle into the drip tip accurately most of the time. The syringe I was using wasn't small enough. Ah well, we live and learn eh? Given up for now, will have another go when I'm feeling brave and don't mind having to clean the kitchen again lol

Make sure you have baby wipes to hand....nicotine can be absorbed through the hands and you can get nic OD. No point in phoning the NHS when you have nic OD. They just panic. Basically if you get nic OD you have no nic for about 2 hours (half life of nicotine) then see how it goes and have a little (if you need it)....if you 'aint dead in 4 hours ya fine

Thanks @johanino I lost count of the number of times I washed my hands yesterday lol Don't even know if I found it all! Luckily, I have no kids or pets to worry about and as I haven't croaked yet I think I got away with it!

that's good news....just a little concerned about you being a newbie and getting a nic OD. Happens to the best of us but no reason why mass evil media should find out

Actually, that does bring up a question I have tho - you get all these warnings on the bottles about not getting ejuice on your skin and that it's really toxic and all that, but then you see anyone doing an ecig 'how to' youtube vid and nobody's wearing gloves! Their fingers are covered in it! What's that all about? Do you use gloves when you're mucking about with ejuice @johanino ? I didn't bother yesterday but I will in future I think

I wear gloves when mixing nic base but I don't bother when using mixed juice at 18mg. Not sure if it's right or wrong but never felt unwell getting juice on my skin.

With mixed juice, as long as you wash your hands pretty soon after splills or splashes, you should be fine

I woulda thought that's sensible rednutt. Wonder if it's like a lot of other things and it will affect some people more than others?

I've had a few Nic OD's when it's got on my skin and I've not promptly wiped it off with baby wipes....
When I first started mixing I was full body armour. Cheap plastic apron the works. Now I don't bother. I just take care.
It could just as easy happen with rewicking disasters LOL.....Just get a packet of cheap baby wipes - sorted

I also wear gloves when mixing nic base only because it's so strong (frightens me that stuff!) other than that I don't bother - I did spill some premixed juice on my hands when I first started but it just left a tingling sensation which went after about half an hour....
