Total disaster! Definitely need magnifier and smaller fingers. I got a coil done, even threaded cotton wool through but couldn't see to wind wire round the screws. Shame they don't have a hole bit to put wire through. Cotton kept getting in the way blocking my view. Kept snapping the wires off before secured. One is in wash, the other back in box. Maybe I'm not meant to have these!

when your torching the coils try not to heat the legs thats what makes them brittle and prone to snapping

Stick with it. Once you get the knack the kayfun is very easy to recoil

yeah totally agree, but am sure a 2.8 coil at 15 watts would still be very decent A 1 ohm coil on a mech is up around 17 watts, now that's a decent vape on the kayfun! Tease-smiley

@spikeyfridge............Try using normal silica wick, with 5 turns of coil wire..........do it by hand............I personally don't bother with all that micro-coil malarky.......Tried it & didn't see any improvement over silica............

@spikeyfridge a micro coil and cotton on them is brilliant. Well worth ripping out the coil that it comes with, you really will notice a huge difference Tried the chimney yet? It's superb. Same idea but the way the air flows trough is good Not yet, still perfecting a standard microcoil - think I'm there now, at least it's perfect for me... 8 wraps 0.27mm kanthal round a 2mm drillbit, 1.6ohms for each of the last 5 coils made, and have got the time down to less than 5 mins... Greigster's coil buddy is a wonderful thing! But it's definitely next on my to try list

Ha just realised your jesting Partially jesting but that's what I use in the kayfun, a 1 ohm chimney coil wicked with cotton on a mech. I'm usually about 0.4ohms in the drippers. The kayfun's chimney cools the vape though so it's super tasty, one of the reasons it's so popular.

After the pic I put it together and shorted. Took it apart and put bit of cotton wool on top of coil and all systems go. Reet chuffed but obviously need to practice.
