Hi all,
I have a question about e-cigz.co.uk. Are they still in business? I placed an order with them and have heard nothing back, even after emailing them a question about my order. Obviously, I am now concerned that a relatively large sum of money has been paid with no chance of receiving the goods?
If anyone has any feedback I would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Hello & welcome peekay.
I had an email from Cameron (e-cigz.co.uk) on Saturday, apologising for the delay in replying to my email. He said there had been issues all last week with his website. So he might still be playing catch up.

My concern is about a £65 order with no follow up, and both contact telephone numbers are dead. This is ringing alarm bells for me.

How did you pay Paul? If it was via Paypal, you should be able to check if the money has been claimed?

Just had a read on the UKV forums as mentioned above and am now disappointed with myself for not following my usual due dilegence process before ordering... At least this doesn't appear to be a fly by night, which was my primary concern. It also looks like I may be waiting a while for my order. I always say that communication is key - especially if you want to keep customers in this day and age.

I agree Paul, communication is the key & a few folks here have also mentioned, Cam isn't too good on that score. However, I got the part I'd been waiting for today from him.
Eyebrook, their registered office is just a box number (Truro Cornwall) & as Hifi says, they are actually in London.

they do seem to be relatively slow compaired to the other e-cig vendors but compaired to the rest of the online vendors selling other products they are the norm.

Cam isn't always the quickest admittedly in comparison, but I've spent more money than I care to think about this last year with him and I've always received my orders without any problems or issues.
It would be good though if his website software had the capability to issue confirmation of dispatch emails, that's the bit that concerned me initially.

Thanks for all of your replies guys - it does help to reduce the worry that I may have lost cash on a bad deal. At the end of the day, I expect (I think reasonably) to be kept in the loop when dealing with online retailers. For example, if they are on holiday, then a website should reflect that (one dealer I note has a 10% discount when they get back from their hols!). It is a lack of communication that gives rise to messages such as mine on forums such as these. I am now going to see just how long it takes for my order to arrive and will post back when it does. Finally - I got the 'recommendation' for e-cigz.co.uk from the forums here. I'm wondering if it would be useful to comment on delivery times, etc. for these traders so that expectations can be set accordingly? Thanks again all. Update: I've just found the thread about good customer service.

It would be good though if his website software had the capability to issue confirmation of dispatch emails, that's the bit that concerned me initially. Most sellers now send out a confirmation e-mail, therefore when one doesn't how are we to be sure our order has gone through? I've had just such a case recently where I got a random 'error' message right at the end of a Nochex payment. Nochex sent a confirmation email to say my payment had gone through but I heard nothing from the seller. I did receive a confirmation when I hit the 'contact us' button to report my concern. I've ordered from the seller concerned here and received prompt delivery - I can't recall whether or not I received an email but am fairly sure that I did. Fox
