advice on kayfun coil

Cottons not that hard at all, just takes a little trial and error. I'd always encourage new RBA users to go for cotton over silica. If they've taken the plunge to RBAs then they should also expect to have to learn how to use them and experiment, that's what rbas are all about.

Also I hate the taste of silica and microcoils are so much longer lasting and easier to repeatedly rewick

I'll carry on trying to tell people it's not their fault but you guys can feel free to tell them they're a bit crap


As for silica over cotton for taste that's a matter of opinion and very subjective, I like both myself but can't use silica with a chimney coil build.

As for silica over cotton for taste that's a matter of opinion and very subjective, I like both myself but can't use silica with a chimney coil build.

??? Of course it's their fault if they haven't built it correctly, who else caused it not to work 

The point of the forum surely is for new users of a particular device to learn the tips and tricks to correct their errors. No one called anyone crap, just inexperienced with this device as we all were once.

The point of the forum surely is for new users of a particular device to learn the tips and tricks to correct their errors. No one called anyone crap, just inexperienced with this device as we all were once.

My point was that it's actually not that difficult to get one working great.  I'm not an experienced coil maker by any stretch.  It just needs a little time, patience and practice
