Out-vaped!

Hi all - I'm still a relative newbie (but a total convert!) and I wanted to share a little silly tale with you all.

I was outside a cafe in my home town (Frome. Not heard of it? Well, it rocks) and had a vape. I have a small but perfectly formed kit - itaste vv with iclear clearomizers. From around the corner came a bearded, tattooed, leathered man.... with some kind of massive vaping combo in his hand. We clocked each other. Eyes were locked. He took a drag from his brick-sized equipment and moved past me... with 'win' in his eyes.

Seriously?? Has the lovely vaping community I joined on 28 February come to this? This competitive 'mine is bigger than yours' nonsense? I really hope not and for newbies reading this - stay strong and committed to the equipment you have because as long as it works for you, it really does not matter how big/shiny it is!!!!

i wish it wasnt like that but i think there is a bit showing off involved, but i think its because its mainly a mans hobby/ recreaction aswell haha

Joined few groups on Facebook regards dripping and cloud chasing. They where all good at first, full of info and impressive cloud videos but some have gone really childish now.

Thing on one of them last few days where members seem to be trolling other pages with stupidity low ohms just to get a reaction, get banned and report back.

Maybe you should have said hi what gear are you using there? Sounds to me you both noticed another vaper and felt a bit uncomfortable and didn't say anything. His silence wasn't necessarily one-upmanship.

True silentscream and normally I do make the first move and chat about vaping and how much I love it and what juice are they using etc etc .. but this time it was different :-( It was much more "I see your little cloud of vapour and I raise you to the big boy vape" (I'm not the sensitive type I promise!!)

A man sees a woman and tries to show his masculinity and you think there's something wrong? Surely that means he thinks you're worth showing off to? And that as far as a man is concerned a compliment. He's telling you he thinks you're fit lol

Yeah I guess body language will tell you a lot. It's a shame though, I've been vaping 6 months now and not once have I come across anyone in public who vapes that I got to chat with about it. I feel like it's still the skeleton in my closet in a way lol. 
Beats the hell out of smoking though.
