Due to us having double glazing fitted last December British Gas are putting our monthly payment down RESULT, by £4 a month so I calculate that it will have paid for itself in 98.5 years LOL

I'm in a Council property, due to have DG hopefully sometime within the next year, if they don't run out of money, but my DD to E.ON has just been reduced from £130 to £108 per month for both Gas and Electric, and being retired with 24/7 occupancy I will now have an extra £22/m to spend on Food and eJuice.

We have double glazing and cavity wall and roof space insulation and with 24/7 occupancy (both retired) our gas bill for heating, hot water and cooking averages £9 a week for me and my wife. Keeping the heat in and the cold out really helps to keep the bills down. Ofc the real advantage of DG is the noise reduction.

Yeah the real advantage is no more door banging in the wind, draughts, noise, and the front door needing to be booted open cos it was so stiff.
