Members selling stuff on trade

Is it me or is members on here lately who are trying to sell a item getting swamped with either silly comments or inconsiderate posts on their sales.

I remember when something was up for sale the replies was either PM'ed you and then followed by Sold too ??? or Still for sale....now it seems to be a lot more than that.

Ain't pointing fingers as we all like a laugh but lets try and let the seller sell.

We are all guilty in some way Pepperty even myself now and again but some of the sales go on for 2-3 pages of silliness, not fair for the seller....free bump though

If anyone feels that a reply to a classified thread is breaking the rules, then the best thing to do is report the post.

Got to agree with you 100%, some of the comments would be far better sent in a PM and maybe the banter could be kept to a minimum, they are sales/trade posts.

Some banter might actually be a good thing. I suspect potential buyers can work their way to a decision as to buy or not... and that's what it comes down to.

I also think buyers (less experienced, perhaps?) have a right to get a feel about other people's attitude to an item, whether expressed as banter or something else.

A good item will always sell. A less than good item should not be protected by a draconian fence.

Leave it be, let sellers appeal to mods if things get out of hand.

It's the something else that's the problem, there's been threads in the past that have had comments that have been rude and unnecessary. I think if a person is unhappy send a PM or talk to a mod don't criticise or berate the person on a sales/trade thread.

I agree with you man, I have seen some stupid things posted in others for sale threads that just aren't helpful to the sale at all. I'm not in a bad mood either, just sayin it like it is.
