Kanger Aerotank question

Received my new Aerotank from myepack this morning, opened the box and thought "ooh this looks good" but there is an extra piece I have no idea what it is or what it does. It is to be used on my MVP v2 and maybe on my Sigelei Zmax V5, but I am confused as to where it goes & what it is for.

It's the bottom right bit of this picture:





I know that almost all of you will know, but don't forget, I am sort of new to all this shiny stuff  ???

That's called a beauty ring or plinth. It's only purpose is cosmetic. It smooths the lines between a narrower battery and the atty

It will be as the MVP comes with it's own parallel beauty ring for 510 atties.

I disagree. If you attach a big-ish 510 atty to an MVP, I'd say it was not 100% cosmetic. Might help to sure up the tank.... ??

I would always use one..... looks or not.

Ah - I just looked in my MVP box & you are right! There is one there too

Which one will be better to use? The MVP one or the Kanger one?

Or is it just cosmetic & I can choose whichever one looks nicest (or not bother at all if I think they both look crap)?

which ever you want tbh and personally i would use one as it protects you from breaking the 510 on your mod and/or atty that's a problem you don't need

It doesn't matter which you use with the aerotank but if you use an atty that takes it airflow from just above the 510 threading then use the MVP parallel one as it has a whole in the side of it for airflow. Those shaped beauty rings generally have no hole and have the potential to restrict airflow with certain atties.

Disagree there, the one that comes with the mvp restricts the airflow a lot more than the one with the Aerotank, I always use the Aero one with the Aero and save the other for the iClear, they work better together

Love my aerotanks got 3 now. All I ever use. Tend to go with 2ohms coils too. Can anyone tell me what the rubber rings that come in the box are for? I'm thinking its to do with the coils?

happyloman - Look at the coil - you see the rubber ring around the lower end of it? I think it's to go there if that one breaks.
