Blownupdolly just thought I should mention this, maybe totally irrelevant, but do you have any breathing issues? Paint, turps, varnish, solvents all which would need to be used in a confined space, I wouldn't want you to dish money out, and then it make you ill. My mum used to oil paint, bloody good she was too, but copd, and emphysema meant she could not do it any more, due to the smells. ( fumes ) Hi Sammy Thanks for the warning. I do have COPD but I'm not really bad with it. Also, there are now lots of various paint ranges specially made not to cause problems Annie Sloans chalk paint being a popular make.

Must have been very sad for her to give up something she obviously got a lot of pleasure from.

It was but she turned to photography, had tripods and lenses so she could sit in her powerchair and take pics of rabbits in fields miles away, amazing really.
