My little cat...

It was a mad night guys. Alma was following me around all night. Went to bed about 12 and she scratched at our door until i went down. She was down stairs for an hour or two just panting and when it was clear that she had started (waters broke on my knee) labour i put her in her box i made and within 2 hours it was all over, i had to pull the sac from around the second ones head because it came so fast after the first but after that she waited to clean each cat after that then another came, cleaned and then another

It may sound silly but very proud of her. She is daft at the best of times and so far she has been a natural hasnt moved from them.once, loved them and when my youngest at 18 months came for a look she looked so understanding of her being noisy and excited and they look so cute all snuggled up.altogether.

jackcustard great to know everything went well and all kittens are came into the world safely. Glad mum is taken to it. Most do but there are a few that don't.

In the last half hour alma has come down and been acting odd. She has never attacked like biting my youngest but has done it twice now in ten minutes??? Alma was following my youngest around when she first came down put alma back upstairs with kittens. My oh is not happy about and neither am i tbh... like i say my youngest and alma have grown up together and never had problems before...

Its just her hormones & her maternal instincts kicking in jackcustard keep a look out when Alma & your youngest are in the same room together & Alma will soon settle down.

I'm sure shes just being overprotective at 1st, its confusing being a new mummy and she wants to keep her babies safe. Once they are less demanding she'll be glad to have them distracted from hassling her! but for now your priority will be keeping your baby safe from overprotective Alma!

Those babies ARE so so so cute, presume the gorgeous gingers are both boys as its very rare to get a ginger girl. I just love gingers.....my last cat was and he was a complete softy, my vet says they normally are particularly good natured

I agree pep. My youngest is quite a boisterous little girl, now we have moved them from our room, where my youngest bed is for fear of the little one and alma and so the kittens are safe from the little one to our eldests room. Alma seems much more chilled. Just carried the box through with alma and kittens in.

Our eldest was very happy, so am I, will be a nice responsibility for her. She is under strict orders to be as quiet as possible. Alma has been fine with all of us just not the youngest. So like you say, keep them apart for a while and see how it goes! Thanks for the help guys. Eldest just informed me they are all asleep cuddled up together youngest is having a nap too time to relax for 5 mins.

What's that love, you want me to cut the grass, suppose not. Hahaha

Great photos mate. The kittens look lovely.
Don't worry about mum attacking she is just being protected of her little ones. Just keep an eye on her and you little one when they are together. She's probably spooked by the noise . Our girls cat dose not mind my kids but the boy hates the noise that make Nd normally dose not go anywhere near them. When they do come into contact with each other he normally hiss's at them.
