The link is for IMR batteries, which is the "safer" type, so no problem. Exactly the ones, along with two from torchy, that I use in both mods you mentioned. Better get four though, as they only last me a few hours. I go through three a day.

Mechanical Mods should have protected batteries for added safety, and mods like the Vamo can take unprotected as the electronics take care of the safety aspects. As long as you aren't using sub-ohm coils (with a resistance of less than 1.0ohm), then you would be OK with either AW or Efest batteries.

ICR are fine for the Vamo but if you foresee yourself moving to a mechanical mod at some time I would advise IMR as they are suitable for everything

Yep, cheers folks, so both are cool to use on either my lavatube and vamo.

IMRs are also safer when not in use and when charging, ICRs are a cheap option that often get bundled in a starter pack.
IMRs would produce fer less gas if they vented, so less pressure and less chance of a bang (hence most people recommend for mechs), they are also less likely to catch fire. Also Kicks require IMR.

I have used the ICR's for ages in both electronic and mechanical mods with no issues. I run my Mechanical mods with and without kicks with them as well and reckon they're a great battery for the price. However I do not sub ohm.

Its true there is no reason to get worried if you use good quality batteries and don't abuse them like DiscoDes and probably most members here, catastrophic battery disassembly is luckily vary rare. I have over 30 lithium 18xxx batteries mainly safer chemistry ("IMR" is a bit of an outdated term for these) and never had a problem. But what I wrote still stands safer chemistry batteries are safe especially as they don't going into a thermal runaway which ICRs can. I have 3 non-protected ICRs which are good quality and in good condition, but I don't use them.

I got a couple when they were only 25 Zlottys. It's a LavaTube mini, PBusardo did a review. Their RY4 Gold is my favourite juice - it has a much stronger baccy flavour than other RY4s. Taramisu I like and lemon from them is more lemony and less fizzy or lemon meringue pieish than others. I wouldn't buy batteries from eBay. Too many cases of them selling fakes. eBay takes no action and the vendor's rating stays at 98%.

I mainly use IMRs or Panasonic Hybrids, although I do have a few ICRs as well, I tend to only use the ICRs in regulated mods like the Vamo or Tmax Mini and are normally okay for 1.5 ohm and over.

I use(d) ICR Panasonics in my SID/Vamo/Evic...
They were so much cheaper than IMR when I bought them, I was happy.
My 18350 efest lasts no time at all in my Vamo V5 so I've given up using them. (i.m.o. the 18650 are fine...)
Overall, I'd only buy IMR these days.
