ripple27I'm the same as OneDay ... still keep a spreadsheet of every penny spent on vaping... After 1 year 10 months... Fags not bought £5,222.00 Vaping spends £1,657.13 Saving £3,564.87 I know it's sad, but as I watch the savings graph go up and up, it reinforces my resolve, not that I've needed to. Good on you for doing that for your son. Blimey Raffles, a spreadsheet????

It still saddens me to think about the day I had to sell my car because I couldn't afford the costs of running it. Now I am vaping (2yrs) I could afford a car and the cost of running it but, sadly I am now too old to drive, but on the plus side, I am healthier for walking everywhere and have reserve cash if needed for emergencies. I am just thankful I got into vaping for the sheer pleasure of adding another hobby to my list.

I've only been vaping for about 3-4 months and @i use to spend about £50 a month on rolling tobacco/papers so I'll say I've saved about £200... ..but then instead of buying tobacco stuff I've been buying vape stuff lol. Ego kits x 4 = £18 ish Extra CE4/5 and Pro tanks = £15 ish Ready made juices = £10 DIY nic/flavour/pg/vg/bottles = £50 ish I think I've spent around £100 on stuff so far. I think when you first start vaping you would spend a bit of cash than you normally would on equipment and getting the stuff you need, then once you have it you don't need to spend any more for a long while. Thanks to this site I found out how to make my own juice and I have 20 bottles in the cupboard so I'm sorted now for a good few months and don't need to spend any money at all on it..well apart from electricity to charge my batteries

I have just calculated.....smoking rollies (an ounce a day at 3 year ago prices) - £7 a day....(taxed)... The maths mean I'd have spent £7500 (just under) in tobacco (not counting papers, lighters etc) Last time (over a year ago) I did the maths I was spending about £20 a week on e-cigs (over estimate now) for everything (mods, juice, atties the works) So basic estimate is £3K spent on e-cigs in the last three years.... Tis not much And I know full well that there is no way I'd have gotten out of debt (18 months ago) without e-cigs....

According to my siggy thingy I've saved £2301 in just over a year.
Just added up what's sitting in my mod stand at rrp (£1000 near as dammit), and no doubt spent at least £500 if not more on juice etc..
So I'm around £700 in the green... Scary to add it up but I'm not in the red and feel so much more healthy for it!!!

For me I used to spend about £220-240 or so per month on ciggies and roll-ups mostly for me and some for the wife. Since I stopped smoking on 23rd Dec 2013 over the past 5 months I guess I have spent about £150 or so, which averages out at about £30/month, so a fair old saving. My last large purchase (a couple of weeks after my MVP2) I spent £52.60 (direct from China) on the VTR2, and the wife just stared at me and said "Why ?" I told her that really it was the cost of a weeks ciggies and tobacco, and I would have the use of it hopefully for a few years, whereas with the ciggies all I would have is a bin full of dog-ends. She agrees and understands (well I think so) but is still giving me funny looks, when I am happily puffing away on it....
