Over the last 6 weeks or so I've bought several ego batteries (2 from local market and 4 from eBay) The 2 off market worked fine for about 4 weeks and only 3 out of the 4 from eBay work at all!! I can't afford to buy local shop prices is £11 for only one battery so if anyone has any ideas I'd be grateful

always throws in a wee freebie Love it when that happens. This week a packet arrived with a reel of Kanthal .25 in it, just what I needed to try a bit of coiling low-ohms. But what's this? Also in the jiffy bag, there was a wee small wire reel with a good bunch of wire wound on it. Unordered. Total freebee. Dunno what AWG it is though.

DiscoDes your idea worked a treat!! Thanks If your batteries "malfunction" you should firstly follow these steps: 1. Try Raising the Centre pin on your battery, just a little, there are plenty of videos on YouTube that show you how to do this and it's VERY EASY to do. 2. Clean the battery Connector with a cotton bud dipped in alcohol (vodka will do). 3. Clean the charger connector (Please unplug it first!) using alcohol as above. 4. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN YOUR ATOMISER!!! it only needs to be finger tight!! 5. If you have done the above and your battery still does not charge, try another charger lead. 6. As above, but try another power supply (the bit that goes in the wall with the USB plug in it) FOR CLARITY: This is a Ego Charger Lead : You should only use the one that came with your battery. This is the Power Supply (you could use the USB port on your Computer - at a push if you don't have a spare Doing the above will remedy over 90% of apparent faults. If you unsure of any of the above JUST ASK!

DiscoDes your idea worked a treat!! Thanks Not saying you are doing it, but over tightening atomisers to batteries normally make this happen regardless of if they are cheap or top of the range..
