This is for the ego style batteries that screw into their charger. Connect the charger to it's power source first, whether it's a USB port or USB adapter. Green light. Carefully screw the battery onto the charger til you see some activity. Button lights up and green light goes red. That's it. Simple. This will prevent damage to the battery and charger caused by overtightening, which is probably the cause of 90% of failures?? A further, valuable source of info can be found here from Roscopecotrain

Thanks, can really recommend this.
After charging my battery I went to unscrew it and the bit (that you screw into) inside the charger broke away from the PCB, in fustration I pulled on the charger and it ripped off the top of the battery.
Both charger and battery now knackered.
I'm not normally one for screwing overlay tight, but lesson learnt.
