A Word of Encouragement for our New Vapers.

A couple of weeks ago I thought my sense of smell had come back because I could smell the smokers from quite a way off. I couldn't have been more wrong!

It's just happened, right now (well 1hr ago) and it's like a slap round the mush!! I mean, a quick blow of the nose and I'm in another world. I can smell everything, and I mean everything. I've just put a wash on so I could get all them socks out of the hamper. I can smell tea brewing across the house. Next door neighbour has just made a cup of coffee. The dog the other side stinks. Wet grass is wonderful.

Just one of the great rewards for quitting the smellies, I'm just gobsmacked.

I'm off to explore the flowerbeds in the park. Smell ya later

It's great, isn't it Ripshod? Go and find some Freesias, they smell absolutely amazing!!!

On the downside - I like eating particularly hot curries & like spicing my food up with Blair's death sauce & eating Psycho Nuts as a snack.

When my taste buds decide to join the party, I fear I will be unable to enjoy all of the above

Only downside to sense of smell coming back, is when someone with a body odour problem joins you in a confined space, there tends to be a lot of surreptitious sniffing of your own armpits!

tell me about it - we have this colleague - and apart of BO she was the worst colleague I ever had - fortunately she handed in her notice today - but yes we can small better now - the good and the nasty smells alike

Ripshod  lucky you..........yes it's true that when your sense of smell returns it's like being newborn. Unfortunatly just at this moment I deeply regret getting mine back...........Our Bitch has had her puppies and the whole house reeks of doggy smells, coupled with her flatulence.

Still only an other 6 or 7 weeks to go!!



BTW for all you folks who asked for puppy pics, not a lot to see at the moment but should have eyes open and be tottering around in a couple of days, so will be posting in Members area then.

First I've got 2 words to say.

PIZZA and HONEYSUCKLE

If this is what it's like being a newborn I want to be born every week. Flatulence is something I haven't experienced yet, and I'm in no rush.

Honestly, it's been that long I forgot what it was like. When peeps said to me about smell coming back I had absolutely no idea what to expect. To all the n00bs and the ones who are still waiting don't give up, it's well worth it.

Oh, and I checked my pits, one thing I'm glad doesn't stink.

Lol Ripshod it really is amazing (& also a tad scary) when you start to get your sense of smell back. The scary bit is smelling the stench of stale cigarettes on someone that passes you by in the aisle of a supermarket for instance.

The cottage I live in is called Honeysuckle Cottage & it's surrounded by Honeysuckle. As a heavy smoker, I couldn't smell it at all (nor the Jasmine that's intertwined with the Honeysuckle), such a pleasure these days to open my windows on a warm summers day/evening & be able to smell the beautiful scents

mine hasn't returned but it might never return I have always had a blocked nose since I was 4 I was put on the emergency waiting list to have my tonsils and ananoids out and I am still waiting so I wont know if I stink or not but I am sure someone will tell me at vapefest if I do but I would love to be able to smell things

Me to, I have a better sense of smell after 30+ years of smoking than 20+ month's of vaping than the rest of the family (all never smokers).
