Hi I am new to vaping. Recieved my janty ego tank xl type b last week. Was not planning on giving up the analouges completely just cutting down but after just a few days i am finding my self disgasted at the taste of my roll ups and craving my e-cig Anyway disaster struck today after less than a week i am getting a bitter burnt taste, i e mailed janty and they have advised me to clean the atty, but feeling a bit despondent that i have issues with the atty after just a few days, especially when the cost of a replacement is in excess of £9.00 Any advise would be extremely welcome, i did wonder if it would be more economical to maybe try carts but not sure if they can be used with the tank system. All this aside my experience e vaping so far has been great. I had a few issues on day 1/2 with some blurred vision and headaches then realised it was prob nicotine o/d. I ordered a lower nicotine of juice and hey presto perfect vaping. Am really enjoying my experience so far, just hope i can get this atty problem sorted. thanks for reading co

Hello & welcome Too many I'm not an expert on the ego T - far from it, however, I' certain that any 510 atomisers/cartomisers will fit it. I'd recommend going for either some Boge or Kanger cartomisers.

Hello & welcome Toomany . . . great to hear how much you're enjoying vaping . . . cigarettes were never this much fun! You won't be able ( easily ) to use carts with your Tank Atomiser, have you let the little tanks run dry at all whilst you've been vaping as that could give you a burnt taste . . . I'd maybe try another tank cartridge before you attempt cleaning your atomiser. As Chris says, it would be worth trying some Cartomiser's next if you find the problem persists, they're a combined atomiser & cartridge.

Thanks for your replies, i have not let the little tanks run dry really, at least i dont think so ??? I have a tank on at the moment 80% full and does just not feel right. I have just googled ego tank and carts and came across smok tech carts echo dual coil, the reviews seem to be good when using with ego t so gonna give them a try, a lot cheaper than i expected. Will update when i have tried them, thanks again

Hello and welcome Too many, sounds like your doing brilliantly on the vaping and well done for cutting out on the ciggys. Safercigs do a bud which will fit and they are brilliant so easy to fill up

They can run dry, almost without you knowing Toomany . . . not least because the juice flavour tends to improve the further down the tank you get, so it almost lulls you into a false sense of security.
Your Ego Tank battery will be a 510 fitting as Chris says, so any cartomiser's with that fitting will work happily on your batteries.
I don't want to dishearten you in anyway, but atomiser's are the weakest link in the Vaping chain . . . I've had some last hours, some months - it's a bit of a lottery with them . . . cartomiser's tend to be a more economical option.

perpetuua, don't worry you have not disheartened me, my friend has been vaping for about a month and they warned me about this, however their atty has been running fine for the last month and it is the same as mine, suppose it is luck of the draw.
Bel the buds look great, out of stock at the moment but will keep an eye out.
thanks for making me feel welcome.

Hi toomany and a warm welcome to the forum I started on tanks and could never get them to work consistantly... sometimes you can give them a pre suck and that helps to wick the e-liquid. what mix of liquid are you using? i found that it had to be 100% PG. after about a week i gave up with them and got some cartomisers and have not looked back. Clearomisers would be another option or even Buds although i found wicking issues with them too if the liquid was a PG/VG mix. to clean an atty there are quite a few different ways... pretty much you soak it in hot water, vodka or even denture tablets then rinse out and blow hard through the battery end a few times to dislodge any cack...then allow to dry oh and well done for giving up the analogues

Hi Toomany Im still quite new to this and have the egot which I use with cartos. Couldnt get me head around the atty/cartridge bits, especially with starting with a dud atty! The main issue Ive just worked out (bit slow on the uptake here!) is I have been totally underestimating the amount of juice needed to competely fill a carto and had the burnt taste virtually from day 1 so if you try the carto line make sure they are really well filled to start with. Now I'm getting the hang of things I am going to order more attys just for dripping onto but might try the ones to go on the little 510 battery first. Good luck!
