flooding and gurgling ?

Hi im still getting flooding and gurgling from my built coils - i have included a picture and was wondering if anyone can see if im using to much cotton or something else im doing wrong ?

No this is a dual coil head with a single wire built on it

It looks OK to me. When you put the post in and grommet on, does there seem to be any extra room for juice to soak through.

If the cotton wool fills the holes, it won't leak.

You can have too much, and you can easily have too little.... it's all about sealing those pesky holes.

(It's exactly the same on the Taifun GT, only bigger and even more important to get right...)

I am not sure if there is a successful build out there yet with a single coil in a dual coil head, have you tried sealing it the way naturevape do their's I.e with an additional washer? Or perhaps build them in a single coil head?

If it is dual coil head and you are putting a single coil in it, then it probably needs some more cotton, Take a small bit and place it on top of the coil as a flavour wick and soak up the excess juice.

Hard to tell from that picture as the cotton is wet but maybe use a thicker piece of cotton through the coil as well as a flavour wick if the above does not work.

Personally i would stick with cotton, keep it all the same but you can try both and see what happens.

Looking at the pic I'd say you don't have enough CW, although if it's dual coil I'm unfamiliar with the actual head. With an Evod/protank head you have to ensure the CW fills the gap on either side it passes through otherwise the juice just flows through the gaps and floods. Also, and it may be the angle of the pic but the coil looks too low and the wicks too long and kinda bent at the ends.

just cant work it out i have just put a brand new iclear 30 on my zmax and it started gurgling after 3 puffs and i didnt build that - when i took it off the battery the pin on the battery is flooded with juice - the battery was fully charged and the zmax is brand new - i give up

Just read through your other thread as well intheblim . . . repeating what everyone else has said, but the Zmax is on too low a setting so it's not vaporizing your eliquid quickly enough.

I generally use between 8.5 - 9.5 on mine and don't have any issues. Have you tried it on the Variable Voltage setting just out of interest to see if you find the increments suit you better?

Although I can't say for sure...sometimes, if the wicks are too long, they get pulled to one side when you screw up the base into the tank.
This definitely happens on a Taifun.... you can see the wicks getting pulled through the plastic tank section....

yes i think i am sucking on it like a mad man and i also think my battery was drained as i have stuck a new one on now and all seems fine - god im so stupid lol
