Hello
sorry about yet another thread from me. I was just wondering , do i need to clean my aerotank (kangertech mega) somehow? i chnaged the head yesterday as i thought the vape quality was diminishing and the liquid seemed dark. I seem to go through this cycle of feeling ok with vaping, then i start to become dissatisfied and end up craving cigarettes and feeling crap. I thought the problem was simply a case of not keeping a close eye on my setup ,a loowing the quality to deteriorate , then the cravings for cigs would come back. I tried to make a point of being very careful to make sure everything is working optimally , change my heads regularly top up the liquid , make sure batteries are fully charged etc. over the past couple of weeks however i have been really struggling and i am sure i have made the effort to keep everything running well. I was thinking maybe i need to clean the aerotank in some way ? I used some of my iclear 16's on my vision spinner with brand new heads and full juice and battery , but still felt very dissatisfied anxious and nervous all day . I just couldn't seem to get what i needed from them, and up until now this has always worked , in terms of getting back on track. I hope i have missed something with the aerotank , and that i need to clean it somehow , because i am really starting to feel like i can't go on this way again. It's been 9 weeks now , and i am still feeling very unstable . Please help

@alopezg1 I have not cleaned my mega kanger yet - don't have it long enough - however I regularly clean my other tanks - generally in the ultrasonic cleaner - guess it's not the tank though - just one of those days - have a nice menthol or menthol mix ready - I like citrus and menthol - that might sort you out for today at least

Could be the juice if it's the same juice you are vaping all the time, have you tried changing to a different juice? What strength mg are you vaping at the moment? Seems to me like you are doing all the right things, it's what I would be doing too.

@alopezg1 it might help to have a stronger juice for these times. You can always drop down again if it doesn't suit you.

and what is an ultrasonic cleaner? One of theseOh Ok.... seems useful. Is there anything i can do to clean my tank without one , another method? As for the juice i am using 2 types, a 24mg WTA liquid called turkish blend and i have been mixing some 36mg nic base with a menthol type flavour concentrate , half and half to get 18mg juice , in theory. I troed the other day just using straight nic base with dash of flavour , so it was probably around 34mg , had no effect. I will try using my iclears for a while i suppose

A bath in Bicarbonate of Soda is an easy option @alopezg1 . . . it's easy to say, but do please try and relax a little about your vaping and enjoy it more - just thinking of all those ciggies you've not smoked in 9 weeks is a real achievement, which should rightly give you pleasure.

Thanks Perpetua the point is that i am not enjoying my vaping and it is not really working in the sense that i am craving cigarettes and all the other stuff that comes along with that , whci is not a very enjoyable experience at all , and i was hoping it would somehow get better with time but it doesn't seem to be and i can't go on living this way unfortunatly i am having difficulty functioning in any meaningful sense and am shit scared i am going to relapse

Oh Ok.... seems useful. Is there anything i can do to clean my tank without one , another method? As suggested to me in the past, I wash my clearos in warm soapy water (I use an old toothbrush for scrubbing and an interdental brush (for teeth) for reaching the hard to get areas), rinse under clean running water and bath or leave to soak in a bowl of warm water with either Bicarb (as suggested by Perps) or a Steredent tablet overnight. In the morning just rinse again and either dry with kitchen towel/paper or leave in a warm place to dry. I also do this especially for any brand new clearos and drip tips to get rid of any manufacturing residue. If you are needing the clearo sooner then just wash in warm soapy water, rinse in clean water and dry as much as possible with paper towel, fill up and vape again.

There's no Cigarette Police on this forum . . . you're putting yourself under too much pressure if you'll forgive me for saying @alopezg1. Have a few smokes if you think that will help you overcome this particular brick wall. Do you know, I kept my last pack of cigs in a cupboard for over 2 years before I felt ' secure ' enough to ditch them - and I would have smoked each and everyone of them if I'd felt the overwhelming need to. Without guilt and any qualms whatsoever.

I do very little cleaning of the tanks themselves. I tend to sonic cleaner new stuff (just done one actually) and am quite keen on changing/replacing atomizer heads often. Today, I took a T3S with me to work. I bought it off VE Jason in August last year. What can I say.... it just trucks on and on with just a warm water rinse out regularly. I guess the more complicated the tank, the more sense in a deep clean now and again. I tend to put loss of vaping performance down to the atomizer head. I do tend to flush the liquid out of the bottom of the tank rather than save 0.5ml or something.

I think it probably is a problem if i do because it may i just start smoking cigarettes again and have to start this all over again , which i don't have the strength to do anymore. I am miserable as a smoker , and it seems, even more miserable as a non smoker . I hate that i smoke i hate doing it to myself , in the last year or two of smoking i felt like absolute shite. I was congested in my chest and had an irregular heartbeat problem that smoking exacerbated and in short i was pretty much terrified of what i was doing to myself and felt absurd . I was trying to give up every couple of days for about a year . My dad has been diagnosed with copd now and continues to smoke , so that's depressing . He won't give up , im pretty sure of that , and i can actually understand that because i don't understand how i am supposed to stop either . I'll probably end up like him coughing and weezing to my grave. To be honest i am so disgusted with cigarettes and the whole addiction and the prospect of either having to go through the rest of my life doing something that i hate that makes me feel like shit or alternatively living as some kind of nervous wreck afraid of his own shadow that i think i might just be better off giving up living than smoking , it certainly seems as though it would be easier . And i know the trick of trying one and seeing how disgusting it is , but i have done that already , twice ... and despite knowing how disgusting cigarettes are i still can't seem to function without them.

Then look at your cup being half full as a vaper, rather than half empty without smoking in your life. Rather than dwelling on the negatives, tell us the positives you've found with vaping . . . there must surely be some?
