My sincere apologies to anyone who has come to Cornwall this weekend to bask in our tropical climate. Like most tropical areas, we are currently suffering an technical difficulty with the sun, which is covered by huge and very productive rain clouds. In other words, it's pi$$ing it down, so much so that I am on bucket watch in the kitchen where our roof has a leak! Normal conditions will no doubt be resumed by September. Out.

Or up here - & my son is running the Edinburgh Marathon today...so far they've had thunder, lightning, hailstones & persistent rain - & he hates running marathons in rain & wind... Never mind mamma will give him cream for his chaffed bits

We now have a temporary improvement - stopped raining and threatening to brighten up. Blimey, wouldn't living in the UK be boring if we had wall-to-wall sunshine all the time!? We would have nothing to talk about on fora!

Its just started raining here in not so sunny Redcar by the sea Probably came from over our direction!
Hey! look on the bright side we took at least half of the rain out of the clouds over here first, so it shouldn't last too long!
