Hello Everyone , as the title says I'm a new member here so all the questions I'm going to ask are going to be simple, at least I hope so.
I have a Vision spinner battery, I don't know what mah it is and a Kanger EVOD tank, I've been using two juices in the last 2 weeks (my first 2 weeks of vaping ) and I've found that that the juice that I prefer ( at the moment) seems to be losing it's flavour. The Juice that I've been using is a Hangsen 18mg Gold & Silver, I really like the sweet tobacco flavour , yesterday and today I found that the flavour seems to be getting less and less.I don't continually use the E-cig, just a couple or 3 puffs every now and then.Today I changed the coil for a new one and the taste doesn't seemed to have come back to what it was , I have left it standing for over an hour and it hasn't quite returned to it's full flavour that I was used to.Could I have a duff coil as I only had the one replacement or are my taste buds getting used to it and dulling the flavour.I know this is all subjective but is there a solution ? OR would I better getting a new kind of tank , this is where it becomes a bit of a minefield, as I've watched some vids on recoiling and replacing wicks and you do seem to need to be an electrician to understand what you are doing and is it going to make any difference ? I have tried turning up the voltage from about 3.7v to 4.1v and the taste seems to be burned and not very nice, so I turned it back down again.
Any and all suggestions welcome.
Andy

Hello and MontanaTaste buds can do some peculiar things when starting vaping, quite often going AWOL. You could try some menthol juice, that can often help bring your taste buds back

Montana ello & welcome! I think everyone goes through the "taste muted" thing - I know I do. Sometimes it's worth getting a minty flavour which can sometimes get the dull flavour to come back again. I'm fairly new to proper vaping and haven't worked out why it happens, but I have noticed that when you vape the same flavour, the taste does seem to lessen. There will be lots more advice on it's way, so sit back, seatbelt on & enjoy the ride

Montana - hi and a warm welcome from me!! You have I think hit on the answer to your own question - I think it's probably your tastebuds getting used to the flavour. You need to bear in mind that your tastebuds have been muted all the time you were smoking, and they are gradually reawakening to tastes and flavours you have forgotten. However, if you use one flavour exclusively it dulls until you just don't taste it at all. Try getting hold of some good strong menthol, even if you didn't like menthol cigarettes - it cleans the palate and helps readjust everything. I rarely have less than three flavours on the go at once, and I rotate these every few hours so I am always tasting something 'new'. As far as turning up the volts are concerned, go up gradually until it just starts tasting a bit burnt, and then notch back a couple of clicks until the flavour comes through. I'm definitely not an electrician, but I have picked up enough advice and help from the forum to recoil everything I use now, and it's both much cheaper and a better vape than anything you can buy, perhaps with the exception of the NatureVape Pro heads, which are identical to my recoils. However, you don't need to worry about that yet; try a few different juices, and rotate them to keep your mouth alive:)

I must admit to not really liking the menthol or fruit type of liquids, I never really liked menthol "real" cigs or fruit teas.I also tried a few at a VIP stand 2 weeks ago ( which got me started on the vaping trail) and my opinion hasn't changed , lol Such a pity I really liked the taste of the Hangsen Gold & Silver.Would the flavour be increased if I went down in the nicotine level, say from 18mg to 12mg ?

Obviously from that , I need to have a couple of other flavours on the go, can they be the same sort of flavour or do they need to be completely different ?
The other flavour that I'm using is the Hangsen RY4 and it is good , but just a little to floral/perfume side for me ( if that makes any sense ) , so now you know that I really like the Hangsen Gold & Silver , what flavours and from what e-liquid suppliers would you suggest ?
Andy

Hi, sounds like we have similar tastes and yes you will find you will need to keep changing liquids, the other thing to remember is that you can mix them, I do this quite a lot one of my favorites at the moment is Totally wicked red label gold virgin mixed with the same brand tropical tobacco at about 70/30.

I almost forgot , at Christmas time Café Crème used to do ones that were port flavoured and I really liked those to.
So, I think that I like the tobacco flavour that is sweet and full bodied.
I have had a look at the vendors list of juices, my word there's a lot, just don't know where to start , lol As a side note to a lot of the E-Juice vendors they don't group their juices by category , like Tobacco, fruit , custard etc etc etc and some of them when they do don't give a proper description of what the flavour is , I don't know about most of you , that may help me and a lot of new vapors be able to narrow down what they like instead of spending hours looking or just clicking on the next vendor in frustration.

Hiya and welcome to the forum Montana feel free to ask away. I think members have mentioned some of the early vape issues, the flavour drop is probably just your taste buds messing about? and I can only also suggest a minty based flavour and a rotate of juices you like? Also try cleaning your teeth, or a mouth wash...I know taht worked for me in the early days You're 2 weeks in and it isn't always straightforward (taking up vaping) but it sounds like you are doing really well! You have got to grips with tweaking voltage/wattage on your battery so you might just need a selection of tobacco juices to keep you going for now -- I'm not a tobacco vaper, but I'm sure some members who are will be able to offer further advice Keep at it!

Hi & welcome to AAE-C, Montana. As you don't like menthol, howsabout trying a spearmint. Every now & then, I have a vape on that as it's refreshing & does get the taste buds going.

greetings and MontanaIt sounds like a case of "Vapers tongue" Everyone gets it occasionally. All it is is your taste buds need a chance to refresh. Think back to when you smoked...did you always get the full taste of your Tobacco? When vaping, your body will undergo a change (for the better) Your tatsebuds will improve,as will your sense of smell and general fitness. Stick with it and we will have you vaping like a champ soon enough. Give a strong mint flavour a try as recommended by jess above. You will be suprised!! Above all Enjoy.
