I don't know if any of you guys have heard, but Rik Mayall has died  He made me laugh so much in Bottom with Adrian Edmondson, I was only watching one of his live stage shows last night. He was one of the funniest and greatest comedians...I'm well gutted. R.I.P Rik x x x |

So sad, he was only 56, no age to die.
My daughter is gutted, Drop Dead Fred is one of her all time favourite films. When I told her all she could say was 'Drop Dead Fred can't be Dead'

Must admit 'The Young Ones' and 'Bottom' weren't my sense of humour... but loved him in 'The New Statesman' where he played the devious Tory MP, Alan B'Stard. I always wanted to smack him, sign of a good actor when you get that involved with the character, but secretly loved him.
What a young age to go, although I've just read that he suffered a really serious injury in 1998 (quadbiking) which I didn't know. RIP Rik and thanks.
