That cotton yarn looks super! I do the cotton sandwich on my spheroids with silica loop but haven't yet utilised the ricoh wool on protanks - I did get a piece through doing the angled cut but its fiddly as coils are 1.5mm whereas my spheroid microcoil is 3mm so that's where I'd try it on.
I'm also thinking the new stranded cotton wool yarn could be fantastic in a diver v2, has anyone given that a go?

VapingBad the coil dia thing you noticed is interesting, do you experience the same quality variations when you use other wicking material in various size coils or is it just the Rico? I think that it has a lot to do with the juice I use it does gunk up coils quite quickly, I had a terrible time worth it when I used to use cartomisers. I found if the Rico is tight the flavour is not so good even if it doesn't scorch the wick or give dry hits it is wicking OK just tastes off. I find the same with cotton wool balls although you can use a thinner piece to solve it. I don't use silica as I prefer the flavour with cotton. For a long while my ADV has been a Karken with ss rope and when this gunks up I steam clean it and dry burn. Thanks Mrsmac I received the latest cotton abut 10 mins ago, I notice the Rico has been demoted to cable tie with you and thank @scooby for providing it. Should I boil it or just dive in?

First impression of the latest 2 ply organic yarn from @scooby via Mrsmac: It's a beast: 2.5 mm coil @ 1.06 ? I separated the two strands and used 4 strands in the wick to get a nice fit, I didn't mean to make the coil that low btw. The wick doesn't seem to puff out like cotton wool it sticks together and needs some time to get properly wet at first. I didn't bother washing and the flavour is very clean maybe a little thin at first and a lot of throat hit. Have only vaped about 1ml so I expect it to change as it breaks in, will report back.

VapingBad haven't tried it without washing/boiling except to try wetting it, definitely wets better after, same as the rico. It does differ from cotton in respect of swelling Regarding sticking together I feel it needs teasing a little to get some air into the fibres. My latest build is still going well, it has retained the flavour better than any other wick I've used. Looking forward to seeing the views of you and others on it and how you're using it.

Just received a Sillare V2 RDA so also need to build a dual coil to try it in. Weather's nice, garden, BBQ and cool beer beckons though.
