Just to be contrare , If it wasn't for the chatroom on "the other one" I'm assuming UK vapers .

I personally would never have spoken to Doodlebug ( aka Katherine Devlin ) who helped me immensely in my early days , and is now the main spokesperson for ECITA and has helped us all achieve what we have thus far .

I'm not suggesting a chat room is viable without moderation , so if it were to be an option , who is gonna stay up all nght and day moderating ....... think of the logistics

I totally agree with this.

It wouldn't detract from the forum IMO.  Any help given in chat could be a simple link to a forum post, or there could be an option to submit a conversation as a forum post?  But would represent a decent place to talk rubbish.  I am also up until all hours of the night (as the timing of this post undoubtedly proves).

I understand and agree with just about all the reasons for not having one and I get it. However I do agree re: us night owls who might just want to see if anyone's still up and have a natter. Without trying to start a thread in the lounge and keep refreshing the page to see if your ever going to get a response.
My bed time is usually between 1 and 2am lol.

It seems people keep asking for this, so perhaps it is the way forward.

If people want to talk about problems with vaping the forum is there, if someone wants to moan about the next door neighbour at 3am there would be the chat room.

I'm not up on forums but I have looked and asked around and it does seem popular.

The main problem with chat rooms sammy13, is moderating them - it's almost impossible to do so & things can turn nasty in them. Have you actually ever been in a chat room?

I probably wouldn't use one on here either, well maybe I would I don't know  which is why it doesn't matter to me one way or the other.

I think Troll is the right word & looking at your posts & some of the language contained in them, to me it confirms that a chat room is the very last thing we need.
