Supermarkets sell, tobacco, wine, spirits, lager but you can't walk around with a trolley sipping on a bottle of red. It's not anti ecig , just what they see as best practice for their business .

I think everybody knows she meant well. And I don't think Mr Sainsbury will ever quote her reply, nor the National Media. As Mr Sainsbury proberly won't even be interested enough to read her email, he should be far to busy.

So she made a mistake while fighting for the cause etc. There has been far too much criticism here, she is a fellow member, one of us, so just let's hold fire on that. Your comments light hearted or not could be damaging.

She has not made much response to the many posts, I think you should lay off.

So don't worry about all the criticism, Lady, and don't you go beating yourself up. Sharpen your sword and get back in the fray, NOW.

Meant well but made a mistake. Didn't know vaping in the rain with a mech wasn't going to cause problems. Had no idea.

When you've had the lectures I've had the past few days from deluded friends you get a bit sensitive. If I was having a good day I'd have probably have seen the sign and thought nothing of it

It takes me an hour plus travelling time by the way to get round a supermarket - even with a list!!!

Okay so it was a small sainsburys but I remember the days when you could even vape in Weatherspoons and no one would bat an eyelid. I remember the days when you could vape on a bus and again no probs or even, a train!!!

I guess some of you have no idea what I'm talking about. I just feel that because of folk 'following the herd' and being 'backward' we are getting more and more ostracized as a community and I am against that

Maybe I'm wrong but still - just my two pennyworth

tbh i would not use a mech mod in the rain (which comes under the ecig banner)
i have only vaped for a few month and as shuch have had a varied reaction to my pv,s from omg you got a light saber to oww that taste nice
as for vapeing in asda yes i have when the cashier was having a nice long chat with her friend when asked to stop doing it i simply replied if you stop yakering and serve me not a prob(this was after her yackering to her mate who allso worked there for 10 mins)she got the point
as for the ann summers comment he he he i have taken the wife to saints and sinners in blackpool were they manhandled her in to a lovely bone corset so yes you can try before you buy in a sex shop

Remember we live in the UK, if vapes exploded in the rain they'd be a lot of us down the burns unit lol.

I work for Waitrose Jane @johanino . . . I go outside to vape in the Smoking Shelter. Whilst I'd like to be able to vape in our Dining Room, I realize it wouldn't be acceptable to many people and that's the end of the matter to me.

Incidentally, Smokers are not allowed to smoke in our outside Cafe seating area now, due to the number of complaints from non smokers.

The rules & regulations regarding the sale of cigarettes is also draconian.

I think at present anyway, we have it easy in comparison.
