Rave-on for rayon?

I'm using it for the first time today and must say i'm impressed so far. More vapour than the cotton I was previously using, taste is the same. With it being long even strands it fits better in the channels of the SQuape. I'll see how it goes over the next few days.

Hi Peeps. Have been using the rayon for around 7 days now. Although the flavour and vapour is superb, I now am having side effects: sore throat, tightening around chest area.

So today I re wicked the Kayfuns & other atty`s back onto silica.

Result sore throat almost gone, chest area back to normal.

So regrettably I shall not be using it. Pity was a doddle to set up.

Next Stafford vape meet I shall share with vapers there.

So this old git can only use Silica, but wait I`ve ordered some Japanese cotton from Mrs Lords site.

Will try that. . watch for future post results.

Maybe if it was wicking better you were getting through more juice/Nic and that was causing the problem Jeffc ? I would have tried lowering nic level first myself before giving up on it.

Good idea, never thought of that, will reduce nic on a juice and try it.

Wick still going strong in the tobh at 0.2 This stuff is brilliant. Changed flavours about 15 times with no dodgy tastes, coil still clean as anything. More and more impressed every day, might not need more as soon as i thought! if it carrys on like this the little bag i got from VF will last until Christmas!

Hi Peeps. Update, just arrived with some juice from Mrs Lords, 10 small squares of `Japanese cotton`.

have stripped off the outer coverings on both sides of square, cut to size and fitted onto a Taifun.

1st impressions, wicks really well, no funny tastes, bags of flavour,good vapour production.

Will use all day today and see if I get a reaction.

Good value 10 pads each being 65mm x 50mm. for a £1.00.

Thanks to our little Cornish Mini-Meet at the weekend, zeldamum gave me a bag of rayon, and I have this evening replaced a coil in my Kayfun, so thought it the right moment to use some of this supposed wonder material (plus the fact that Helen was nagging me in the shop this afternoon about not having tried it yet!).
First impressions - I tried to get too much into the coil at first, but reached the 'squeak' spot (I think!) and filled 'er up with Minty the Toff. Flavour - certainly as good as with cotton wool, and vapour is coming on - I guess this wick needs a bit more bedding in, although I did prime it before refitting the chimney.
*10-minute pause for more scientific testing*
Need to stop for a few minutes as I now have a nic head - vapour really good, and taste I think a bit superior to CW. I will run a couple of tanks through this and report back I suppose I should recoil and rewick another Kayfun with CW to test side by side *rushes off to bookmarked Fasttech page to buy another one!*
It is certainly more manageable to cut and tweak before insertion (oh, Matron!), although I may have taken away a bit too much - if it's going to leak, I guess it will in the next 10 minutes!
I'll be back later this evening to let you know how I get on
