been reading a bit about it on the net about it causes irritation to the skin etc...and know conclusive tests havent been done yet but is it ok to inhale lots in a day? stinging nettles also irriatate the skin but once boiled are perfectly fine to drink or be put in a soup or something.

as you have said no proper tests have been done but it is approved for human consumption and is present in lots of different foods but that is alot different than vaping high quantities

It is possible to have a allergic reaction to PG King, it very much depends upon the individual, it can bring me out in itchy patches on my face . . . a combination of Antihistamine tablets/Aloe Vera gel, controls the occasional flare ups.
But I don't think it's bad for me, I could have a similar reaction to any number of other products.

I expect Foxy's links give you lots of info - my opinion is that it's not nearly as bad for me as breathing in tobacco smoke and I just don't worry about it My only alternative would be to take up smoking again

It just crossed my mind that PG would probably trigger a breathakyser test,at least the old fashioned dichromate based ones because of the alcohol groups.
Anybody know for sure what the state of play is with the modern ones?

Anybody know for sure what the state of play is with the modern ones? Looks like a probable YesAIUI, those MDIs use PG as the carrier, so PG could be bad for your driving licence, though the testing protocol requires a 15 minute period where nothing is allowed to be 'smoked, drunk or eaten', so you might get away with it. Worth bearing in mind though.

I'm not allowed anything with alcohol in it!! Yeah, but they mean ethanol, I was using the alcohol as in the chemical sense to refer to the OH grouping found on PG, VG etc.

Excellent links there Foxy Wish it were true about PG killing germs, I've had a cold for just over a month now I was always very prone to bronchitis especially at this time of year but since taking up vaping I've been fine. I picked up a chesty cough from my sister at the end of October but it cleared up in just a few days. Whether this had anything to do with vaping I've no idea but it seems quite a coincidence. It was the first respiratory disorder I've had for two years. It's a Merkle !!! Fox

Im the same as Perpy,i do have the odd flare up of dry skin and rashes.I only use PG so i know i must be sensitive to it,VG makes me chesty and leaves me short of breath so i cant use that. However,i can breath very well and have had no colds or viruses since i started vaping so the odd flare up is a small price to pay.Much better than ending up back on the fags IMO,it cant be hurting my body that much if i feel this well
