Ok, I think I'm getting there.

I am using cartomiser - filled 1st one got a little bit of smoke then nothing.....

Have filled second one - am getting smoke - although have filled it 3 times now - am I doing it right - am doing condom method - how many 'puffs' should it last?

Also am having to hold the drip tip in place as it keeps falling off.... is this usual?

Can anyone advise?

Hmmm..... 3 times? each filled cartomiser should be the equivalent of nearly 10 ciggies, something funny here.....

One last thing, is it the CARTOMISER you are filling up? the caromiser has the filler already in it that you pop the drip tip on. The atomiser is the thing you can see the metal coil bridge in if you look down in it then you pop the top on that is a mouthpiece and has white fluffy filler in it.

Thanks Des. I will check if screwed in enough - I'm being careful not to over tighten. Also I notice the am having to really push the cover cone over the cartomiser and when I unscrew the cartomiser is stuck in the cone...........

Hi Wendy

Let's try and start from the kit.

In the Kit you got 2 atomisers and a pack of empty 'cartridges'.

These cartridges are filled with e-liquid untile the foam inside resmbles a slush puppy and then they are slotted into the atomiser and attached to the battery. No drip tip is involved with these.

The cartomisers that you got will be in a seperate box (5) saying 'atomized cartridges' on them.

They are the ones that are filled using the condom method and then allowed to soak a while.

You take the soft white tip out of theses cartomisers and then push the drip tip in fully (it should be a tight fit).

You should also have a few notes there to help you, but keep asking as you come across problems and we'll try to sort you out

I am getting the screw end of cartomiser and putting that in the plastic cover (condom) which I have the juice in....... I am then blowing through and wiping before I screw onto the battery.... is that right?

Hi Jason,

I'm using the atomised cartridge - I have taken the little white plug thing out with paperclip and then filling using the condom method. I have tried the drip tip on 3 on them now and they are all loose fit - i.e fall off very easily.

Not far off....

Fill the condom 2/3 full and slowly push the screw end down into it until it soaks up all the liquid.

Then (after pulling out the soft white tip) add a few more drops into the wadding from the tip end (you can see the centre tube - so avoid that).

It's important to get around 30 drops into the cartomiser in total and then let it soak for a while.

If you want to count the drops - stick 20 in via the condom, then add another 10 from the tip end.

Think of it as a sponge that needs to be fully saturated before the liquid starts to pass through it properly.

Once the cartomiser has been left to soak for a while, just blow through it onto a tissue, stick the drip tip in and attache to the battery - don't over tighten it.

thank Jason .... I haven't been leaving it to soak in for a while - I've been filling then blowing and wiping and putting straight on. Will try again following your instructions.

Cartomisers work really well Wendy, but the first fill is critical to how well they perform.

I know it's a bit wasteful, but whilst you are getting used to them it's better to overfill (drown) them and then blow out the excess liquid, rather than underfill them and risk burning the wadding inside (which then renders them useless).

Not sure about the problem you were having with the drip tip though, because if anything people would usually find them too tight a fit, rather than loose.

The drip tip has a rubber 'o' ring on it which pushes inside the cartomiser until the tip fits tight to the cartomiser rim.

Sorry for the spelling, rushed typing
