Could any one point me in the right direction as to which batteries to get for my Vamo v5 , i am confused about flat tops/nipple, Protected /Unprotected, 18350/18650. High drain and other specs. Any trusted links?
Thanks

Hi buliwyf and to AAEC........ you might want to take yourself over to the New Members section first and introduce yourself where you may get more answers and some lovely welcomes too. I may be the wrong person to give advice about batteries but here goes..... You want UNPROTECTED for the Vamo, 18350 in short mode and 18650 in extension mode (not sure about flat top myself but I use button top in mine) and I use Efest and Torchy (Ebay).

Thank you all for the help. Are the 18650's too long to carry about in my trouser pocket? How many hours would the 18350's vs the 18650 last on normal vaping. A vision 1300 lasts me 2 days from fully charged. Torchy's look

A vision 1300 lasts me 2 days from fully charged. Torchy's look You should NEVER carry LiIon batteries loose in your pocket! As many (me included) will affirm, I burnt my leg when some coins shorted the battery, the coins burnt my leg and the battery got pretty hot too, if you short a LiIon battery it could vent. You can carry them in a battery case, or in your device, good vendors will supply a case with your batteries. 18650's are 65mm long and 18350's are 35 mm long (see the correlation in the number and length?) 18350's last me 4 - 5 hours 18650's last me over 12 hours (I have some Panasonic 3100 mAh batteries) But it all depends on how much you use one, what power you run at and the resistance of your coil, the bigger the mAh the longer running time, but be careful some high mAh rated batteries are too long or too fat to fit in some mods. However Vamo's have some of the biggest battery tubes on a Mod. DO NOT buy batteries with "FIRE" in the name, they are usually over stated in their mAh rating.

I've probably got the same pannys DiscoDes. Took a while for them to get up to capacity, but now would last a day and a half if I pushed them.

Thank you for the help, i'll go for the 18650 protected. Flat or nipple top doesn't matter for a V5, correct?

Electronic mods have protection built in to the device, if you use protected batteries in them, both protection circuits can "fight each other" for want of a better expression, and the device won't function properly like that. Flat or nipple, either is ok in a vamo.
