Thanks Perpetua , as drunkenbum has said, is that all it is ? Or is it better to start with red astaire first ? I'll need to buy some red astaire concentrate first if so (yet another one to buy !!)
Ive got some blackcurrant concentrate & inawera Anyz which I think is aniseed....only difference is the purple colour, & im not fussed about adding that.

I've always thought Black Astaire is RA mixed with Blackcurrant markus ( possibly also some Aniseed ) . . . . so I'd certainly start with Red and go from there. I'm sure you could probably achieve similar with a blend of different concentrates, but that would be more trial and error most likely.

I'm all for making mixing simple ( and enjoyable ) so buying part of a concoction ready blended works for me.

Thanks Perpetua Is there any particular company youd reccomend to get the red astaire concentrate from ?
Ive found a cherry menthol one, but im wondering if its the same as the Tjuice website says its a combination of red berries, black grape, sweet eucalyptus, aniseed and menthol ?

Either Tjuice ( givemejuice - 15% dissie ) . . . . Chefs ( AAEC - 10% dissie ) or The Ecigshop  ( ALL10 -10% dissie ) there are probably more reliable Stockists, those are just the one I've used.

Depends which works out best on price with postage/discount markus, that I haven't compared.

Well I dont buy from chefs, The Ecigshop I cant get past their age verification (it just satys on that page) so it looks like its tjuice....thanks

Which black current is best for this? Perfumer's apprentice doesn't seem to be sold on the site I'm at right now, but will hunt it out if that's the one to go with. Was shocked when I discovered I was bored with RA, despite a six month break from it. Wouldn't mind, but I bought 120ml of RA concentrate before we left the UK and it's currently sitting here gathering dust.

If it's Ecigexpress . . . . then TPA are their Signature Flavors Range newdawn .


Although the very nicest Blackcurrant I've used is TW's - don't know if it's available your way?

I've got about 20ml Red Astaire ready mixed and wondered how much Blackcurrant concentrate to add, I've got Joose Juice and TPA.

I'd split that down to a 10ml tester perhaps sydsut . . . . 5% would then be around .5ml

Cheers Perpetua  but I've just mixed a new 100ml supply of Red Astaire so will bung in 1ml of Blackcurrant into the 20ml bottle and see. 50/50 Joose Juice and TPA concentrates.

I picked up my bottle of red this morning that was mixed at 15% and added about 15 drops of aniseed and blackcurrant. When I refill my tank later I'll see how it tastes

Just tried it, It's rather tasty, I think I'll be doing this every time I mix up some red from now on.

Late to the party but...
I tried RA for the first time today and tbh I wasn't very impressed. Then I added 1% of fa Blackcurrant and it's a little better and growing on me. Think I'll notch up the Blackcurrant as I think it improves RA greatly

I never do my RA straight jtc, haven't actually tried it straight up, started with TW Blackcurrant and have gone from there, the best one I've done so far is 15% RA with 5% Flavourmonks Blackberry, that is seriously scrummylicious. Going to do some with Hangsen Black Cherry next when the rest of my testers are all gone, I have about 5-6 more to get through with different blackcurrants & blackberries and one with Redcurrant as well.
