What improves the flavour the most? I'm using a recoiled NV mini, which came out at 1.8-1.9ohms with cotton wool wick, spinner set at 3.6 and some lush Chef Vapour ABC, which HAS been left to steep for a couple of weeks (willpower huh ) and the taste is, well, not lush. It's ok, just a bit 'weak' so, do I rewick, recoil, suck a mint (run out of menthol/mint vape) or wait for another couple of weeks.......not sure I can though or is it a small case of vapers tongue? thank you lovely, clever peeps

Lower ohms might help, it's all about finding the sweet spot for you. I generally vape on the kayfun all day at 0.9 ohms in a mech mod and then drippers at night around 0.2 ohms. Last night I built a coil at 0.12 ohms and it's one of the best I've ever used, took me by surprise.
I would try a coil a bit lower ohms myself, the temp of the vape can make flavours taste quite different as well as the wicking material used.
Or if the spinner is adjustable raise the volts.

sleedale - I've not used the NV tanks but I used to recoil my pro tanks with cw which were a very similar set-up. To answer your question, a combo of all three! Cotton is an excellent wick, so as long as it's nice and fluffy and not too tight it should stay well saturated. This means that you van afford to put more power through it without risking getting that burnt taste, so my first advice would be to turn up the spinner. If you build a coil with lower ohms, you will get more power out of your spinner, but I'm not sure what the lowest ohms you can use is. Probably around 1.5ohms, so there's not a lot further to go than your current 1.8ohm set-up. If you have vapers tongue, remember it will pass! Try a different flavour, just in case you have flavour fatigue, see if this improves it. If not, get some menthol based juice (I use red Astaire to get through my moments of having no taste) and tough it out! For me it lasts around a week. I always have three or four different juices on the go so I don't get tired of one flavour, I find mixing it up helps prevent vapours tounge from taking hold!

sleedale I did a little research into spinners and it seems they have a 2.5A limit and you are restricted by this limit to what they will actually deliver in terms of voltage and watts. I have used a calculator to work out some possible coil builds to use. 1) 1.4 Ohm at 3.5v = 8.75w=2.5A 2) 1.5 Ohm at 3.7v = 9.1w = 2.47A 3) 1.6 Ohm at 4.0v = 10w = 2.5A 4) 1.7 Ohm at 4.2v = 10.4w=2.47A 5) 1.9 Ohm at 4.8v = 12.1w=2.53A I have stopped at the maximum voltage on each build that will reach the 2.5A limit of the battery. 2,3 and 4 would give that sweet spot that most like. The 2.5A limit is just speculation mind you as the makers are keeping very tight lipped about it. As you are using cotton you should be able to vape at close to the maximum even the 1.9 build without getting a bad taste. Your present setup is only giving you 7 watts which may be why it seems weak. Try upping the voltage closer to the examples above and see if it helps the flavour. If you do experience a burnt taste then you may need to try re-wicking your coil, as this would mean its not soaking up the juice fast enough to keep up. Getting the wick just right is the bit that matters, and can take a bit of practice till you find the right density of cotton to use through your coil. Also having really fluffy ends on the cotton will help to draw in the juice. Try blowing on the cut ends when you first wick the coil as this will fluff them up.

Wow hijack, thank you for doing this.....it's slowly starting to make sense, I'm afraid maths isn't my strongest skill. On a coil I did, with cw I did get a burned taste if I pushed the volts up, so I will mess around with the cotton wool a bit and try to find a better thickness, fluffiness etc. Should get an MVP today so I can play around with that too. Essentially I need a lower ohm coil so I can use lower volts, so the battery will last longer, but at least with variable volts I can up it to find the 'sweet spot' And I thought vaping was just suck it and away you go I'll copy and save the chart to refer back to. Thank you also enjay and ionian for your helpful replies. It's good to learn

As the resistance drops the drain on the battery increases, so its all relative to each other. The main thing is to use the volts or watts that gives you the best vape, and the battery runs out when it does.
