But it did , for the last 6/9 months I have become one of them people that cannot be in the vicinity of cigarette smoke, I just hate the smell of it now, and it is something that I thought would never bother me being an X smoker, in fact I think I am one of them people whom other people say are worse than someone who has never smoked ,

Yeah I know what you mean mybad. Just last week I sat down to have a coffee outside in the fresh air and 4 people sat at the table alongside mine. All four of them lit up and the smoke was drifting over to my table. I had to get up and move to another table further away as it was making me feel ill.

I too never thought I would be like that

I also didn't want my hair & clothes to stink of fags, another reason to move away

I still quite like the smell of a burning cigarette, but the smell of a smoker after they have had a ciggie turns my stomach now

My husband (exsmoker) told me it would happen to me one day - he said I'd open my wardrobe one morning and go ewwwwwww he was wrong ..... I opened the wardrobe I keep my "tidy" outfits in and my posh going out wrap thing and the smell hit me right in the face, not tobacco though but perfume!! It smelled lovely actually

However, I did meet up with someone in the week who is a smoker and I found myself taking several steps backward whilst she was talking as the smell of stale fags was horrible - gawd I hope I never smelt quite as bad as that!

There is nothing worse than an x smoker they preach about the smell, the cost, well they did it for x amount of years.

This is the first time I have voiced my thoughts about it and would only do it on here as I think there must be others in the same boat , I would never complain direct to a smoker unless they were to blow it directly at me.

......My mum is starting to irritate me by calling in and flinging open patio doors whilst smoking, I know she's doing her best knowing its a non smoking household but not only is she a hairbreadth from burning my voile curtains...but come Winter I'm likely to flip! My home is freezing at the best of times

and then there's 'the time it takes her to smoke a ciggie between one high street store and the next' .....WTF? never knew how annoying that was I just have a few tokes and dive in doorway, there she is, hovering from one foot to another and puffing away like a steam train trying to 'get value from fag'

I dont think I can ever go shopping with her ever again.......................

today was the first day in a while we'd had rain here and I did chuckle when I left work at lunchtime and saw all the smokers getting pissed wet through having a fag

I never smoked at work as I work like 5 mins from home so could wait till i got home, but many a time on holidays I would be stood outside freezing my arse off or in the peeing rain just so I could have a smoke .... at least now i can just nip to the ladies and have a sneaky vape inside in the warm

Just over 5 weeks in and the first fag my oh lights up and the smoke catches me unawares I'd like to throw up. I'll co e back from a pee and go wtf is that, oh!!! You just lit up. Well that's what I say in my head anyway. Don't want to be accused of being the smoking police!
Actually, next morning washing her ashtray in hot water is the worst. Stale ash steam vape 1st thing before coffee, yuk!

I don't know how I ever smoked 40/50 of the things a day now mybad.

Find myself praying that no one is using the Smoking Shelter when I go for a vape in my break . . . though that does have it's positives, as it helped me ' convert ' one of my colleagues, now her BF & Mum also vape.

Sorting through all my Dad's paperwork recently, him being a pipe smoker - all the papers absolutely stank.

I had to leave them outside for a while to ' air off ' before I could bring myself to touch them.
