Romney mine played up for while before it died. Have you checked if the grommet below the centre pin is intact?

I've got used to mine doing it and just treat it as a quirk. I've tried cleaning all contacts and raising the pin to no avail. Shame as other than this it's my best back up. Glad in a way I'm not the only one!

dickyg A very kind member on the forum did the centre pin for me for me as when I did it I buggered it up! and it worked a treat. Unfortunately I had another problem with the button sticking on today and that killed the unit completely

vom, for the sake of £24, I'd get 2 vamos from focal (quick though, offer about to end around 16:00 hrs UK time on 27 June). They're the stainless steel ones, and even with a zmax, as you've found out, backups are essential. Gotta be honest, I like the vamo, proper workhorse, and for £12 you deffo can't go wrong oh, and p.s., the v5 vamo has the removable top cap cover, so you can unscrew it up to the base of your atty so it's flush, just a bit of thread on show below it...

My SVD from myepack started turning off just 2 weeks in. By 4 weeks I had to stand on the fire button to get it to work. 3 months in it was driving me mad so Ash agreed to exchange.
Only 2 weeks with little use but all seems fine at the moment.
Not holding my breath though.

<< sneaks in under the radar to add my unimportant bit of information regarding your forthcoming choice I have had a Zmax for 2 months (ish) and other than a recent mishap with the entire contents of a Protank leaking all over it, solved by submerging the whole lot in a glass of uncooked rice ( thanks ronaldo ) it has been a steady, reliable and FUN device. I just have to get the best tank for it, because I am currently using an Aerotank Mega on it & while it looks great, it's not giving me the same flavour as the old Protank (which didn't have airflow at all). I've never owned a Vamo or had an STD ... no that's wrong sorry - an SVD, so I can't comment on them, apologies, but I can heartily recommend the Zmax

Sweet, I wasn't expecting them to be the SS ones. I picked one up for £20 a little before the first focal group buy expecting to use it as back-up for my MVP and it has been pretty much all I have used since. Buying two more for £24 had to be done! Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards
