Thank you everyone for all your kind advice. Variable voltage looks definitely the way forward. I already have a kanger mini pro tank 3 ( the guy in the e cig shop raved about them) which by all accounts is a decent clearomiser but it's all but useless on the batterys I own (barely used it) Even on my 900mah I get very little vapour again with it. All though I'm hoping if I purchase a VV battery this will give me a satisfactory setup. :-) There is a lot of battery talk in this thread... but if you want more vapour it's what you put on the battery that counts. My fogger v4 chucks out a ton of vapour on my Stingray mech.... but it's surprisingly decent on an old ego (EDIT: at a suitable resistance) (just tried it out of curiosity after reading all the 'get a new battery' comments). If you want more vapour, you are going to need a better tank. Anything with one of those little Kanger heads in will be OK up to a point, but if you are a heavy vaper (or want to be), they have their limits - namely they need a fair bit of tweaking to improve the wicking. If you are going to start fiddling/rebuilding, then it may as well be with a decent RBA TLDR: the atty will make a lot more difference than the battery Cheers

I use an aerotank on both my spinner 2's and my sigeli and unless the spinners are 100% fully charged they don't come close to the consistent vapour production I can achieve with my sigelei with Sony VTC-5's even with both devices set at the same voltage output. I suspect it's down to voltage drop on the smaller batteries. I just don't think smaller batteries can keep up with any kind of chain vaping once their charge starts to drop. Don't get me wrong, a decent atty will make a significant difference but its the package as a whole that will really get results and something like a protank/aerotank built with a micro coil on a decent battery will achieve good vapour production with less effort than an RBA.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thats noticed a significant drop off in vapour when the spinner 2 charge drops - I have my Protank 2 with air controller on a spinner 2 and as soon as the blue light button comes on the vapour and the taste drops quite significantly, I've been extremely disappointed in the Spinner 2 tbh and ended up getting myself 2 x 1100's for out and about, work etc. which last longer and are more consistent with the vapour. Now I know it isn't just me I think I'm going to give up on the spinners and go straight for the MVP shine I have been lusting after.

Sounds like OP's experience of Kanger tanks is similar to Rip Trippers: first couple of vapes are fine, Plenty of vapour and then every vape after that hardly any vapour :-(. Leave it for half an hour. Then vape and same issue again. First couple vapes are fine and then hardly any vapour after. Skip to 1:22 for his experience of what OP describes Obviously vaping is an extremley personal experience, and there is no single 'right' answer (far too many variables for that), but OP, in my experience a Protank will give 50-60% the vapour (& flavour) of a decent RBA, regardless of what device it's on. (aaand... it should be noted that for a lot of people, the vape that a protank provides, is exactly what they are looking for) Of course, if you are using an ego you have to keep your ohms at a sensible level, but do that and an ego can provide a perfectly decent vape (with an atty that can keep up with your vaping habits - especially if you are chain vaping). If you watch that video you'll notice that Rip Trippers is using some pretty high end hardware, yet still experiencing the same issues. I find it hard to believe it's a battery problem. But obviously OP is free to take as much, or as little, advice as he likes from this thread.

How things have changed! Also based on stock heads or home made coils.

I'm not sure about percentages either, it's just a guestimate based on my experience so far. I used Mini Protank 2's and a Protank 2 with afc for the first couple of months that I was vaping. Rebuilding coils, wicking with silcone, wicking with cotton, playing with different flavour wicks, modifying the silicone grommet on the chimney (or leaving it off altogether), on ego's, spinners, and my Vamo, and even at their best they don't hold a candle to my fogger v4. In my experience what you put on the battery makes a much bigger difference to vapour production and flavour than the type of battery/mod you are using. But, as we all know, this is such a personal business, that what works for one, will not necessarily work for another. OP's question was about vapour production (and he described the exact limitations of Kanger products as I have experienced) I don't think there can be much opposition to the statement that the best vapour production will come from an RBA/RDA (especially when compared to anything with a Kanger head in it). Don't get me wrong, a PT can give a decent vape (they got me off the stinkies, so good enough)... but they are certainly not the last word in vapour production. All the best, Leo

Excellent choice, was mightily impressed with mine when on holiday, never let me down with a faff free iclear30s and an iclear16. I am an above average vaper and it was excellent and mine was an oldish V1 (no VW) snow

Hi 1vaper123, I was having the same problem with getting very little vapor I was a very heavy smoker 40-50 roll ups a day, at first I upgraded to a EVOD2 tank with a Spinner 2 and I also noticed the drop in vapor production as the charge dropped so I gave up on that idea a spent a little more on an iTaste MVP 2.0 (you can get these for about £30 online) and a Kanger Aerotank Mega (about £22 online) By far the best vapor production I have had, I have tried the Nautilus which is also a very good tank but you don't get as much consistent vapor as you do with the Mega. I would reccomend getting both the MVP 2 and the Mega I know its a bit of cash to drop but then your set up and will not have to worry about vapor production again. All the best Alex

in my honest opinion the ego type batts are not v good for chain vapeing .I got my mum the evod carto and ego type batts after her spending a bomb at tw/totally wicked and only getting a leaky half assed setup but it works for her but defo not for me as i can drain the batt in about 5 mins then as you say leave it for a bit and it comes back almost like the batts have recharged a wee bit
i got the itaste vv3 after joining this forum and wow what a diff form the above ,constant controllable vape but at 800 milli amp they dont last v long so i was plugged in to power source a lot but for nights out its perfic i 2 got the protank 3 at the same time as the vv3 and its a lovely starter setup although for looks i wish idd gone for the mini protank
the mvp2.0 is the same as the itase vv3 just with a much much bigger batt capacity so as peps say will last a lot lot longer but it is bigger so might not be so good for out and about just remember this when you decide because chances are you will end up getting a mod latter on(a mod is something that you can change the batts in a vamo v5 is worth a google
as to peps saying the batt dont make a diff to the vape im sorry but it do simply because if your batt dont have nuff nutts to run the coil it will do this cycle were yarp nice and fresh ready for anything then you have been using it and it get tired till you give it a rest(keeping it simples)
the protank you have is a good attie/tank there is a air control vale you can get for it ONCE your happy with the way its vapeing as it seems to improve the flavor
like i say if your going to buy a new batt/mod think what you will get the most use out off in the long run ie if you get the vv3 you can use it out and about discreetly the mpv less so ,the vamo wins on both counts as it changes size depending on what batts you use but you have to buy the vamo the batts and charger for them which youll probably end up doing at a later date (prob about the same time as you get a kfl clone dont worrie it will all become clear in time)
if you get a vv/vw thing set it to watts and start low ie 6 and try it then turn it up a bit at a time trying it till you ether get the vape you want or a burnt taste (trust me youll know it on a pro tank norm come in above 8 watts so take it careful above 8)dont worrie bout the voltage as it takes care of its self
if your only doing this to give up smoking then the mpv is the best bet if its gona be long term then vv3 and then a vamo or simlar
its still worth learng to recoil the heads as that also improves the vape a lot but get yourself up and running happy 1st
sorry for the essay but hope it helps
