The stingray switch always from I've read here on on the ecig forum ( that mega big sure) needs dismantling and cleaning.

Even the owners of the original ones say the same .

Just got it today, cleaned switch using my usual 5 minute soak in 50/50 meguirs alloy wheel cleaner .

My initial thoughts ? Can't fault it, switch is not crunchy at all , which surprised me , it looks fab but won't be staying this colour

Looks good @purple1234 - let's see what it looks like when you've finished with it!

I find it really difficult to vape with anything else now, just because the voltage drop is so low - my other mods taste weak by comparison. My button is perfect most of the time, but I have the odd crunch if I use it in 18650 with a flat top. I mostly use it in 18500 so it's rarely a problem.

I keep looking at it , yes I know it's sad but I think sand papering is so underrated . It gives metal an almost grainy organic look .

Yup I take switch apart and just plonk everything in the solution , let it sit for a few minutes , use a cotton bud to work the solution into the nooks and crannies then rinse thoroughly .

enjay glad it helped , just remember though dude the stingray is known ( even the real one) for having a switch which can be crunchy on occasions.

Also if you reach a point of grrrr use the nemesis switch on stingray , it fits perfectly

Now I did not know that! It is gorgeous though, the black copper and what a hit at sub ohms, love that about it, just need to tweak the switch to perfection as in devise a machine that can press the button a 1000 times an hour to wear it in nicely ha ha
